Location
Valet staff
Room and bed were quite comfortable. Hotel staff was very accomodating.
Nichts
Völlig überteuert
Runtergekommener alter Kasten, nicht mal warmes Wasser in der Dusche
The cleaning staff respected the Do Not Disturb sign and stayed out. The pillows and bed were very soft and comfortable. There is a back gate with key access that leads to Publix, which is an amazing advantage.
We were automatically charged an extra $500 for valet which we did not use (we only used valet for a couple of hours on the first day, and switched to using the public garage near by after that - SouthCore public parking garage at Pinellas Trail and 1st St S). Valet is $45 per day, public garage is $16 per day. I called the front desk to fix the extra charge, and the agent tried to pass the buck, saying that it's a 3rd party booking and that booking.com can take care of that. After some pressure, he agreed that he is the only one who can fix the problem, and he easily refunded the extra $500 that were charged by mistake.
The location , the accessible suite we were in, and the breakfast buffet.
The pool area
Exceptional stay at Hilton St. Petersburg Bayfront! Mati at valet and Marissa at front desk made me feel welcomed with their outstanding hospitality. Highly recommend!
Cons: The room stunk—it was extremely musty. The bathroom was not cleaned and there was mold. Carpets stained. Gym had one disgusting yoga mat. TV was broken. Lamp had broken switch. Pros: The shower was hot with good water pressure and the bed was comfy. Location is good. But the smell overrode all—I would not choose this hotel.
Just the location
The fact that you have no parking and have to spend 45 dollars a night. You can park on the street but that can be blocks away
La ubicación del hotel y lo céntrico
Que para el precio que se paga por lo menos no deberían de cobrar las botellas de agua pura y dar algún tipo de insumos como cepillo, para de dientes y bolsa para el cabello
$45 for overnight parking per night, with at least 10 attendants, your can’t walk your own stuff up, the rooms are super outdated, paint peeling, the towels & bedding are old and smell horrible, I had to spray everything with my perfumed mist spray, the room itself felt dirty, this place needs to be demolished! The lobby is dead on your arrival. We picked this Hilton because we are going to the soccer game, the Dali Museum, The Pier & downtown and this location was ideal. We will never stay here again unless the entire property changes.
Great location
Lovely staff BUT the hotel is old and tired , our room had a large hole in the carpet and the room felt dirty , the shower was tatty all fixtures old a/c like a jet engine .
$350 for one night including parking - not good value .
Shabby and not chic. Dated, looks like the last refresh was 2005. The hotel and rooms show lots of wear and tear. Poor maintenance and not cleaned well. Upon checking in to the room, there were crumbs on the carpet and smudges on the mirror. For this "one bedroom premium suite", the bathroom is basic, what you'd expect in a Days Inn. The bed linens are polyester. There is noise from the elevators in the guestroom interfering with sleep; upon requesting a change of accomodations away from the elevator, we were advised that all suites are back-to-back with the elevator shaft. Poor choice for charming St. Pete.
Friendly staff, and clean room
Had to wait one hour after check-in time before a reservation was received
They were so backed up with the rooms people waited for hours to get their room. I checked in at 2:50 and didn't get my room until 7:00 p.m. I was here for a Gala which started at 6:00 p.m. and needed to use someone else's room to get ready. I came a bit early so I could rest after the drive and maybe nap for a little bit but that was not happening. Also the room I had was musty smelling. The bed was very comfortable I slept like a baby and where I was was very quiet. The restaurant was quite good also.
Great experience with valet.
Believe everything negative that you read in these reviews. I chose it because I had the points and I needed to meet with a surgeon conveniently located 1 block away. I figured how bad could it be? I got my answer the minute I walked in and entered a pre-Internet era Time Machine. Everything is faded, saggy and tired. Apparently new owners have bought it and plan to tear it down, but until then Hilton is going to keep it open and treat it like the level of hotel it once was and continue to gauge unsuspecting customers. Don’t let it be you - there are so many other great hotels downtown at a range of price points
