Hotel Mastbosch Breda

Fin beliggenhet nær Breda og flotte sykkelveier. Rommet var komfortabelt og badet nyoppusset.

Gehorig m.b.t. dichtklappende deuren van andere kamers op de gang. Vanwege bruiloft avond ervoor enorm chaotisch luidruchtig en geplunderd ontbijt buffet, met schreeuwende kinderen. Waarschijnlijk incidenteel, maar wel mijn ervaring.

Lovely hotel in a lovely area. Staff were very happy to help and spoke incredibly good English, they made me feel very welcome :)

Stayed here over Christmas. Both days. Service friendly. Personnel works hard to provide guests with a pleasant stay. Christmas-dinner was good! Price hefty. Room on the first floor with a view of the back of the hotel. upon entering we opened all the windows to get rid of the smell. It seemed like the room was not used for some time. Either that or the vacuum of the cleaning lady was the cause of the smell. Squeacky floorboards and no 4-star beds. Beds not bad, bur not 'good'. either. Dusty bedsides, outdated decor. This hotel has so much potential! Shower and bath seemed clean and functional. Again, not a 4-star experience. No real glass to use when brushing. Towels have seen better days but plenty and soft. Breakfast was sufficient. again, no 4-star experience. Understaffed in the morning. Rented electric bikes from the hotel to get around which was good. At night we experienced the noises from upstairs, people come in at 01:30 and it woke us up. Soundproofing is needed. In conclusion: the hotel has a real warm feel to it. Everything is old and it breaths history which I like. Beautiful wood all over the place on the public ground floor. The floors where the rooms are and the rooms themselves are seriously outdated. I would not recommend.

Great stay, simple and outdated accomodation, but staff very friendly and great restaurant.

It's obvious a hotel in old style, which also gives it a charm. The room at the backside was noisy, die to some ventilation system, so sleeping with open window is tough. Parking is aside the street or across the hotel; in the weekend it can be busy. Great to have a hike in the forest, and find the Mastbos restaurant during the walk. No shops, bakery or supermarket nearby. Watercooker in the room, with some tea and two coffee, but no refills. WiFi and TV service is good.

It's right next to a pleasant wood.

De vierpersoonskamer was niet geschikt voor 4 volwassenen. Het extra bed was erg klein. De kamer was mooi opgeknapt. Faciliteiten waren niet voldoende. Geen thee of waterkoker. Deze was na navraag wel beschikbaar.
Extra bed was boven hoofdingang en erg gehorig. Hotelvoorzieningen zijn verder erg gedateerd.

Muy agradable estadía. Destaco a su Personal, por su gran amabilidad y cordialidad.

Dog friendly and close to the forest but the hotel feels like it is overdue an upgrade. The bathroom in our room was outdated and not nice. No plug sockets by the bed, even though the bedroom appeared to have been updated. A large tip in the curtains.

Mooi hotel aan de rand van Breda pal naast het Mastbos. Op loopafstand van de Ginnekenmarkt met alle restaurants. Zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel. Aanrader!

Great location for hiking and biking and walks to town, excellent breakfast. Very good restaurant. Several rooms have been modernized, most rooms are older but quaint and clean. Stay at hotel several times a year and always enjoy my time .

Underbart klassiskt hotell med anor från 1800-talets slut inbäddad i grönska. Charmig restaurangdel med bevarad originaldekor med trevlig liten frukostbuffé. Rummen lite slitna och sängarna hårda. Men skulle välja detta hotell framför vilket standardhotell som helst! Genuin familjär känsla som genomsyrade hela stället inklusive personalen. Rekommenderas!

Wonderful old building from around 1900 at the edge of beautiful woods with pleasant walking paths. The hotel owners over the years managed to leave the old charm intact and resist over-renovation, so the atmosphere
feels very authentic, even in the restaurant wing that was built in later years. The restaurant has an old-fashioned high-ceilinged but cozy Dutch character. Bedrooms: ask for one of the bedrooms with high ceilings if you like old-fashioned patrician-style charm. We did suggest more choice of pillows as pillows were quite hard. But we slept very well and will gladly return when in this part of the Netherlands.

Lovely place full of character. I can highly recommend the restaurant with good quality food and excellent service.

The location of the hotel is lovely. Unfortunately it is not a 4 star hotel. We stayed in a room that had a jacuzzi tub that didn't work and also a trouser press that didn't work. When we spoke to reception they said the reason was that it wasn't a comfort room ( so it seems they just charge less for the room rather than repairing it). One particular member of staff was particularly rude to me when I asked some questions about the menu at dinner so could understand options for my child, actually walking away in the middle of me still trying to understandthe options. Had we an alternative restaurant to eat at nearby I would have left immediately. We had to change room on the final night and paid the reception (2 previous nights rate had included breakfast) there was no mention that this rate didn't include breakfast, on check out they charged us for breakfast with no apology when suggested they should have made this clear during the payment of the room. The comfort room while big was unclean, the bath had hair in it and cobwebs on the ceiling. The hotel in general feels like it needs a good clean. The charm of it being an old hotel shouldn't mean they don't maintain it well. I will not stay here again.

I had a good stay in Hotel Mastbosch in a singles room. Dinner was really good, but a bit pricey for the portion size in my opinion. They provided me with a breakfast packet which was quite sizeable for the price on the other side. Lastly, the beds were a bit soft to my liking, but that's just personal preference I assume.
Employees were friendly, surroundings are really nice and green, rooms were clean as well.
I will most likely be staying here another time and would recommend the hotel to others.
