A room with a view
Pros:

We loved the location of the Hotel across the street from the old central city. The staff was helpful and the room was wonderful (even though we were on the back side of the hotel). The room pool with a view was magnificent.

We had a lovely stay!
Pros:

We would definitely stay here again! The hotel was clean and well-appointed. The food at breakfast was delicious! The team was kind and professional. They went out of their way to ensure we had an enjoyable stay. They even surprised us with a bottle of sparking wine in their sister restaurant CanBo to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary! Muchas gracias!

Amazing property, staff and experience!
Pros:

I cannot say enough good words for the Grand Hotel Central. It was our first trip to Barcelona and the location could not be better. Easy walkable access to everything. As for the hotel, it was a very nice and classy property with a great rooftop pool, restaurant/bar and lounge area. The staff was wonderful and friendly. We will definitely be back.

Perfect stay
Pros:

Perfect stay.

Spacious and clean room, comfy bed.

There was an issue upon arrival with the air con not working but it was fixed immediately.

Rooftop bar was amazing and all the staff were helpful and friendly.

It was my wife’s 30th birthday whilst we were there and we unexpectedly got a letter under the door wishing her well and offering a free bottle of cava from the restaurant. Unfortunately we didn’t get chance to claim it (we were travelling home the next day and had a few more places we wanted to see) but the sentiment was lovely.

Would 100% return and recommend to anyone else.

A very warm and friendly 5 star experience in the Barcelona CBD listed in the Michelin Guide for 2025 and 2026.
Pros:

A beautiful restored building with stunning design and great rooms. The rooftop pool has amazing views over Barcelona cbd along with tapas and drinks. The property features in the Michelin Guide for 2025 and 2026.
Staff are friendly, professional and knowledgeable.
It’s very close to the Gothic area, the oldest in Barcelona.
A 5 star experience at affordable prices.

Wunderschönes, ruhiges Zimmer, war im 7. Stock, schöner Ausblick über die Stadt.
Sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal.
Supermarkt, U-Bahn direkt vor der Haustür, Rathausplatz um die Ecke, 20 min Gehweg zum Hafen/Meer und Strand.
Dachterrasse mit wunderschönem Ausblick und kleinem Pool.

great Hotel

Pleasant enough but wouldn't rush back due to value
Pros:

Location was nice and close proximity to where we wanted to go and room was clean.

Cons:

Didn't really strike me as 5 star based on others i've stayed in. Breakfast wasn't great and have had better at 3 star hotels.

Pros:

The rooftop bar was lovely. You need to book before you go unless you are a resident and the price includes a drink. Lovely setting - get the tables up the back!
