A tired, poorly managed hotel that seriously damages the Rydges brand and should be avoided.
Pros:

The location is central and convenient for getting around Darwin. That is the only positive worth mentioning.

Cons:

The hotel is dated, poorly lit, and feels neglected. Rooms are basic, tired, and lack any sense of upkeep. The overall atmosphere is dingy and well below expectations for the Rydges brand. Management presence and leadership quality appear weak, which is reflected in the condition of the property and the guest experience.

Downtown Darwin was a great stay
Pros:

Amazing location in the heart of Darwin City. And yet so quiet and secure. Helpful staff. Quite a large room. Awesome big shower cubicle.

Cons:

The steep angle of the ramp out of the basement parking is a lot to deal with.

Great location and value for money.
Pros:

Friendly welcoming staff and I can bring my dog. Also free WiFi and Netflix which made my stay very comfortable and relaxing.

Cons:

I didn’t like the restaurant used for room service and my food voucher from work. The food is very basic and everything is swimming in sauce. Not worth the money.

Being expected to self check-in and check-out - I want to speak to a human. This is the reason I will never stay at your hotel again - if I'd known this was the case I would not have booked.
