Renaissance Fort Lauderdale West Hotel

Despite an unexpected situation( Brazil soccer team using the hotel complete with an entourage of many fans outside the property ) and the police closing roads nearby and the hotel car park, we received a very warm welcome from David( Duty Manager/customer service manager).
David was kind, welcoming and assisted us get checked in and was aware of all our arrangements and requirements ( room away from elevator)..
The room was quiet, clean and comfortable with a nice shower.

Front desk staff were busy but welcoming and professional.

Overall our one 2 day/1 night visit was great and we would visit again if we ever return to Fort Lauderdale for a short visit, we would use this hotel.

Despite a frustrating issue with the mobile key feature, the customer service at the Renaissance Fort Lauderdale West Hotel turned my experience around.

My flight was delayed by three hours, and I had shared my mobile key with a friend so she could access our room before I arrived. Unfortunately, the mobile key did not work, leaving her unable to get into the room.

What stood out to me was the exceptional service from the hotel staff. After a couple of hours, Jorge proactively reached out to me directly to verify my authorization and ensure my friend could access the room safely. When I finally arrived, he welcomed me warmly and sincerely apologized for the inconvenience.

At checkout, Tanyka assisted me and had already noticed the issues with the mobile key. She also took the time to apologize and made sure my departure experience was smooth and pleasant.

While I hope the mobile key system can be improved, I truly appreciated the professionalism, communication, and care shown by Jorge and Tanyka. Their excellent customer service made a stressful travel day much easier.

Friendly Staff

I don’t remember the agent who checked me in because I’m not good with names. But she was so hospitable and helpful. By far the best check in experience in a very long time. And I’m traveling every other month. I will be back.
My only disappointment was the breakfast buffet. It’s the traditional complimentary breakfast that’s being served at most hotels. Either the exception of the omelette that we had to ask for. The advertisement is not what you are providing.
My room was clean with a comfortable bed. I will be back again. Just not for the breakfast.
The lobby was also beautiful.

We were assigned to a conjoined room. We could hear the other family talking and making noises past midnight.

I recently stayed at the Renaissance Ft. Lauderdale West and had an incredible experience. The Lila who checked me in was absolutely amazing! From the moment I walked in, she was so warm and welcoming. Her customer service was completely impeccable, and she honestly went above and beyond to make sure my stay started perfectly. She is an absolute asset to this Marriott team, and her hospitality made my entire visit. 10/10 service!

Tanyka and Jorge were amazing. They were very engaging and helpful, not just to me but all the others they engaged with in the thirty or so minutes I spent in the lobby. You could not have a more friendly, helpful and professional staff. Please share my thoughts with the team. Kudos to them!

What a beautiful and modern hotel. It super clean. The rooms are spacious. Comfortable bed. Pillows. The staff are very pleasant. Housekeeping was great. The location met our needs. We were here for a graduation. A quick 10 minute drive to Rick’s case arena and 15 minutes to sawgrass outlet mall. A very pleasant and modern hotel. Would definitely return
