Amazing Stay
Pros:

The staff was AMAZING!!!! Specifically, the Front Desk staff and the ladies and gentlemen greeted us every time We entered and exited the building.

It's advertising as French quarters when it's really not in the french quarters. It's not a bad walk from the French quarters but not french quarters.

Bad Billing practice and lack of response
Pros:

We stayed for 3 nights. Left on Monday 11 May. We we got the invoice , we were charged automatically for valet and parking without our consent, even though we didn’t have a car. The hotel does not provide an invoice at check-out and later sends charges by email, which causes major issues like this. Emails and front desk requests for correction and refund have been ignored.

Terrific stay.
Pros:

We were very happy at the Homewood Suites.
Our room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. We loved the large L shaped couch and the kitchen facilities were excellent. The shower was hot and water pressure was very good.
We found the hotel was quiet, both from the hallway and the street.
The staff were friendly and helpful at all times. We liked that the hotel was secure - a hotel key card was required to get in the main doors.
The area was good - right on the edge of the CBD. It was away from the main tourist areas and far enough away from Canal Street (where we felt rather unsafe at night). Yet only 10 mins walk down to the river, to the outlet shopping mall or in the other direction to the French Quarter.
The laundry was easy to use and the pool area was very nice.
We would absolutely stay at the Homewood Suites if we returned to New Orleans.

Great location, friendly staff and our room was spacious and clean.

Cons:

It was a bit difficult to get in and out of the shower/tub combo. Definitely ask for a walk-in shower if you have mobility issues.
