Nice location in a good spot for business travel.
Very overpriced for what it is. €152 for midweek one night single occupancy and then additional €23.50 for breakfast a bit much. Corridors need sprucing up. Grubby carpets. No sockets by the bed and only sockets working were one for a lamp and the tv, had to unplug both so could charge phone and laptop. Ridiculous that there are double sockets in the room but they have been adapted so do not work.
Service at dinner very slow, loads of staff just standing around. Reception didn’t ask how was the stay either, not interested when checking out.
The check-in staff were very friendly, polite and helpful. Likewise, the breakfast room staff were friendly, attentive and efficient.
The room was very comfortable, with all the amenities you would require.
Breakfast was exceptional. Fresh and cooked to order. There were 5 choices, but the full Irish breakfast set us up for the day. There was also a comprehensive selection of breads, cooked meats and cheeses, and cereal.
We did not eat dinner in the hotel, but the menu looked very good.
On admission we were given a pass for the full use of the spa and leisure facilities for the duration of our stay.
No hotel is perfect. However, our room was very good, if a little tired in places. We had no issues with cleanliness or amenities within our room, or the hotel in general.
Great location. Staff excellent and food delicious
Parts of hotel need some freshening to match everything else
Everything exceeded our expectations. The friendliness of the staff made us feel relaxed and comfortable.
My experience at the Glenview Hotel and Leisure Club in the Glen of the Downs, Co. Wicklow was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with genuine warmth and professionalism by the reception team, Brincy and Lorenzo. Their attentive approach, knowledgeable guidance, and friendly smiles set the tone for a perfect stay. They provided clear information about the pool, the room, and local attractions, making me feel instantly at ease.
The customer service throughout the hotel was on a completely different level. Special thanks to Ram for the fresh fruits! Ram and Jude delivered prompt, thoughtful support whenever needed, demonstrating what true hospitality should look like. Their dedication elevated the entire experience.
My room was immaculate — genuinely spotless. The head of the cleaning team, Mariana, deserves special recognition for maintaining such an exceptional standard. Every detail was perfect: the bedding crisp and fresh, the glasses and mugs shining, the bathroom pristine, the towels soft and clean, and even the windows crystal clear. It’s rare to see this level of care and consistency.
Across every department — the maintenance team Eamon and Azmer for prompt service; from the bar to the pool and beyond — the staff were outstanding. Their professionalism, friendliness, and commitment to guest satisfaction were evident at every step.
If I could rate this 4‑star hotel on a scale of 1 to 5, I would confidently give it a 10‑star rating. I highly recommend the Glenview Hotel to anyone seeking comfort, cleanliness, and exceptional service. I will definitely be returning to this beautiful location.
