We recently stayed at Hôtel Place d’Armes as a family of four and booked two rooms for our trip.

From the moment we walked in, we loved the intimate and cozy feel of the lobby. It has such a warm atmosphere. There’s also a great area where you can enjoy complimentary coffee every morning, which we really appreciated.

We had dinner at the French restaurant and it was absolutely delicious. Everything from the food to the ambiance was wonderful.

Our rooms were clean, comfortable, and very well maintained. The service throughout the hotel was consistently excellent, friendly, attentive, and professional.

We came from Ottawa and we will definitely be back!

Even though our stay at Hotel Place D’Armes was only for one night, it exceeded our expectations and left a lasting impression.

The room had a lovely European and antique style. When we arrived, our room wasn’t quite ready yet, but the reception team was incredibly kind and surprised us with an upgrade, which was such a thoughtful and appreciated gesture. Everyone at the front desk was super friendly and welcoming.

We had lunch at KYO, and the service was quick and attentive. Our server was very nice (I’m sorry I don’t remember his name, but he wore glasses), and we felt well taken care of. Special mention to Arezo, who checked us in, she was super bubbly and made us feel instantly welcome.

Although we didn’t drive, every time we were coming and going, the valet team was friendly and helpful, which really added to the overall experience.

The location is fantastic, we were able to walk everywhere, and there are so many great restaurants around the hotel. It made our short stay very convenient and enjoyable.

Another special thank you to Alejandra, who even gave us her business card so we could reach out if we come back, which we definitely will.

We had a wonderful experience and I would stay here again. The staff were amazing, attentive, and very personable. It felt like it was a true boutique hotel before COVID. An example, we were met with staff that love their job and wanted to go above and beyond to make sure we had a great vacation. Almost like we owned the place. The location was perfect also. The room was very cozy and very quiet. If I needed anything, it was taken care of immediately. Like I said, I would definitely stay here again. I would Highly recommend it to friends and family and maybe even special occasions like weddings. The cost wasn’t bad either, I know it was a slow time of the year, however, it was still a vacation and we were treated very well. We have no complaints about the cleanliness of the hotel. The room was nice and clean and the hotel was perfect. We would be able to take our drinks down by the pool table and watch TV and visit with each other, like where are in our own home. I would give it five stars

We absolutely loved our stay at Hotel Place d’Armes! The location is fantastic, super close to downtown and right in Old Montreal. It was so easy to walk around, especially since the weather wasn’t too cold, and we got to explore museums, restaurants, and all the charming streets nearby.

The service was amazing, everyone was so genuine and welcoming. Our room was stylish, super comfortable, and spotless. We also loved the billiard table, such a fun little bonus!

Dinner at KYO Restaurant was incredible. Honestly some of the best food we’ve ever had, and the atmosphere was perfect.

A huge shout-out to Soso and Allie, they went above and beyond. Allie checked in with us one evening in the lobby to see how everything was going, and when we mentioned the room felt a bit chilly, she immediately offered to send maintenance. Soso was fantastic too, she helped us with our KYO reservation and gave us amazing tips on museums. Both were super kind, helpful, and made our stay extra special.

Overall, we had an incredible experience and would absolutely come back. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Montreal!

We stayed here for three nights with our family, and overall we had a wonderful experience. The lobby felt a bit cold, but it was also cold outside, and since we are coming from California, we definitely felt the temperature difference.

The reception team was lovely and very welcoming. We especially want to mention Emily, who was incredibly sweet and kind. The valet team was also very helpful and assisted us with our vehicle and luggage.

There was a Spanish lady in the lobby named Ali who was extremely welcoming and always offered her help during our stay. She even texted us to check on us, which was a very thoughtful touch and made us feel truly cared for.

Our room was clean, comfortable, and we received nice amenities. We wanted to try the Brasserie, but it was busy during our stay. However, the in-room dining was delicious and exceeded our expectations.

Thank you to the entire team for making our stay so pleasant. This was our first time staying here, and it definitely won’t be the last.

We stayed at Hotel Place d’Armes for two nights and had a wonderful experience. The hotel is perfectly located in Old Montréal, within walking distance of museums, restaurants, and downtown, which made exploring the city very easy.

We stayed in the third building, and the room was nice, clean, and very comfortable. Throughout our stay, we crossed paths with wonderful staff. We were checked in by Moncef, a very kind gentleman who warmly welcomed us with, “Welcome to Hotel Place d’Armes,” which immediately set the tone for our stay. The valet team was also excellent, always kind and proactive.

We also met Allie on our floor, who checked in with us to see how our stay was going and offered her assistance, which we truly appreciated.

We have been to Montréal before, and we will definitely stay at this hotel again. Highly recommended.

Our first night in Montreal could not have been more perfect, and Hotel Place d’Armes played a huge role in that. From the moment we arrived, the experience felt warm, welcoming, and genuinely homey, exactly what you hope for during Christmas week.

The hotel is absolutely stunning, from the exterior to the rooms. Every detail feels intentional and cozy without being cold or impersonal.

The service was exceptional across the board. Valet, guest services, room service, and the front desk staff were all kind, attentive, and made the entire check-in and check-out process seamless. We were even surprised with a complimentary room upgrade when we return later in the week, which made our stay feel extra special. Thank you, Alejandra for making this a very memorable stay. We will definitely return and stay again in our next visit to Montreal!

This hotel is one big reason we loved our stay in Montreal. Excellent location! Great suite for space and for family to be comfortable. Alejandra (Ally) at the hotel invested time to chat with us and send a special surprise to the room to help us celebrate. She went above and beyond and personally wished me happy birthday. Also, we wanted our room’s temp a little cooler and she immediately sent the kindness maintenance man who would not accept a tip despite his time to make our stay better. Love the hot chocolate in the PM and the coffee in the AM. Gym has all you need. Large and cozy lounge spaces with a billiard table and tv were clean and great as well. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone. It’s perfectly located in the heart of old Montreal shops and eateries. The hotel is well kept, thoughtful, and elegant. Loved our suite.

From the moment we arrived, our experience was nothing short of amazing. This hotel truly delivers on warmth, hospitality, and exceptional service.

The Director, Alejandra, is simply THE SWEETEST person. Upon entering, she greeted us with such kindness and immediately made us feel welcome. She took the time to personally direct us to a great place to eat when the hotel’s restaurant — which looks AMAZING — was fully booked. Even though we couldn’t dine there, thanks to her we still had the BEST experience. Her warmth and care truly set the tone for our entire stay.

Mo, the bellman, was outstanding — so helpful and kind, and he brought our bags right up to our room with a smile. Little touches like that make such a big difference.

Later that afternoon, as we walked out to explore the city, we were welcomed in the lobby with the most delicious hot chocolate. We took it with us and headed out into town — such a thoughtful and memorable touch, especially in the cold!

The concierge Ricardo deserves special recognition as well. He went above and beyond in every way. He carefully went over our entire itinerary, told us exactly where to go, and truly helped shape a wonderful day for us. We’re from Florida, and he even provided us with warmers — such an incredibly thoughtful gesture. He was instrumental in making our day not just smooth, but truly special.

This hotel provided the best hotel experience we have EVER had. I honestly can’t express it enough — from the people, to the service, to the warmth and attention to detail.

The room was very spacious. Shower was huge, bath was classy. The service was very professional. The location was great. Can’t wait to be back during the summer.

We decided to spend a mini vacation to Old Montreal. I have been there a few times as a young niece /daughter before; husband’s never been. So we really wanted to dip our toes and enjoy the area as a couple, no cars, just enjoy being away from work, explore that area which neither of us ever visited before.

Old Montreal gave us a place to go back to and relax after our mini exploration: Hotel Place D’Armes. We did not expect the little surprises and the truly wonderful hospitality that we received considering that we were not anyone that exuded fanciness or…. $$$$$. We were really more than happy with our first room despite that there was a small issue that we encountered, which the hotel addressed immediately. Additionally, Alejandra Fabiani, Director of Rooms, offered another room seamlessly and credited us. There was no moments that they treated us with less than kindness and welcome.

The room was spacious, remodeled, clean, and beautiful. We didn’t plan to eat at Brasserie 701 and Kyo, and we were happy to try some good breakfast and sake.

Amina, Moe, Amin, Alejandra, and one more staff (another beautiful woman with long dark hair, no glasses, we were in a rush to grab the ride and forgot to ask for her name) attended to us from start to finish. There was also two other staff, male, whom we greeted at the front: they were good natured though I suspected that they must have been cold. More than anything, a pet peeve of ours is we invest in time and money for a stay and the staff treats you like garbage. Hotel Place D’Armes was great for us, from the welcoming reception, the beautiful city view from our room, the amenities like the relaxing tub, and our surprise farewell meeting on the street with Alejandra again. We would really like to thank Moe and Amin for helping us at the very last moment afree our check out when our Uber driver decided to cancel our ride. Despite another person telling us that they did not have the service available at that time, Moe and Amin, did not acted bothered for one moment and they offered us a solution to get to our destination, which we were sure took time away from their other duties.

Thank you again for our memorable stay and will come back again to explore the city … in warmer temperature.

My wife and I stayed at the Hotel Place d’Armes as part of a long weekend trip celebrating our dating and wedding anniversary. It was our first trip together out of the country and our first time in both Montreal and Canada so we were a bit nervous but that all melted away because of how wonderful of a hotel this was and how accommodating the staff - and especially director of rooms Alejandra - were throughout the trip. The hotel was gorgeous, the location was perfect, the room was so cozy, and the food both in and around the hotel was great. We will absolutely come back and would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the city and looking for a great, centrally located hotel in Old Montreal.

Our small family, wife, husband and 8 year old child, did something a bit different during the US Thanksgiving week. We visited Montreal Monday to Friday and Place d'Armes was our HQ. The location in Old Montreal is ideal for exploring all the historic architecture and interesting shops and restaurants. With the expert assistance of concierge Ricardo, we mapped out or sights to enjoy and most efficient route. It is a walking city and used up plenty of shoe leather. Out experience at Place d'Armes was outstanding. The staff led by Alejandra was superb - friendly, kind and attentive. We want to come back in the summer for more adventures.

My wife and I spent our honeymoon at this hotel. It was an absolutely amazing experience. Our room assistant Alejandra was extremely helpful in reserving dinner reservations at restaurants and even a spa day for my wife. She went above and beyond to make sure we had a great table and when the spa was already booked for the day, found a way to make sure my wife not only got in but, had an exceptional experience. The entire staff treated us like royalty and we were just your average travelers trying to enjoy the city. If you are coming to Montreal, do yourself a big favor and stay here.
