Beautiful environment, lovely greeting and wonderful team .
Very nice surroundings, in this Old building, with modern accommodation added. We stayed in the Old part of the House, which was very comfortable with tea/coffee/water in the room. Very cosy wood burners in each Bar/Lounge room made it very warm in January. Excellent Steak night with Country music in main dining room on the Wednesday. Very accommodating and pleasant staff are a credit to the place. Good location for Oxford, and The Cotswolds
Leaving.
Fabulous place to stay on the Cotswolds.
Lovely pub, great food, polite friendly staff, gorgeous accommodation.
Absolutely nothing
The accommodation was just what we were looking for. The staff so friendly and welcoming, excellent quality food, great atmosphere

Staff were friendly and helpful, food was excellent, breakfast was included in the price. Decor and log fire were amazing. Easy to find but peaceful location.

מקום אירוח נהדר. נקי. נוח. ארוחת בוקר טעימה.
In a pretty little village. (Thatched cottages etc.). A reasonable distance from Oxford.
Lovely decor in the bar and lobby.
Nice big room, mostly well thought out in terms of disability features.
Very clean.
Dinner was incredibly good.
Staff were generally lovely, really willing to help, with one exception.
Let me start by saying it is a lovely place, and staff are obviously very proud of it.
A few small things stopped it from being outstanding. Most of these I mentioned gently to the manager because I could see they try hard to make it shine and I thought they would want to know. (Spoiler alert: he did not want to know with some of them and I could see it annoyed him that I did not accept their rationale for doing certain things. There really was no sense of the customer always being right with him.)
The things we disagreed on that I mentioned included parking for disabled people. I had not spotted that there was a very narrow paved strip, unmarked, that the hotel thought was good to park by if a passenger was in a wheelchair. (The alternative was to have the wheelchair on the stony drive, which can be hard to manoeuvre.) He pointed it out to me from inside as we discussed it but when I saw it properly as I drove out I could see that it is narrow and would be awkward to use, plus there is nothing to stop another car taking the space.
I also mentioned that the hotel rear door to the room has a mat under the carpet (i.e. not movable by me) spaced in a way to make the wheelchair wheels stick, so it is hard to get through the door.
These are things you would only appreciate if you have to do them but his attitude was that they are what they are and I was being demanding for suggesting anything else.
Another thing to mention is that the breakfast was not as nice as expected. Maybe spoiled by dinner there being so good the night before so expectations were high but while it was okay, I have had nicer.
The bread by the toaster was a bit off putting too - the crusts were hard and I wasn’t sure if this bread was not defrosting well or had been out from the day before: the waitress the night before mentioned there were only three for breakfast and that was a lot of bread for all of us so was some of it perhaps being put out for the second time?
Everything was co comfortable and smelled very good! The staff super friendly and the food delicious!
There was a green light on for the entire night which was annoying during sleep. I didn’t know how to turn it off or if it was even possible. Would be great if this could be located away from the bed to make night more enjoyable.
The lights failed in the bathroom
The breakfast was excellent with lovely overnight oats and delicious poached eggs (Thomas, aged 10)
Nothing
Beautiful location, building and communal areas are kept to a high standard. The food and drink was excellent. The rooms are beautiful and kept to a high standard. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Loved that pets are welcome.
I would have liked flannels in the bathroom, a bath robe would have been great. Green exit light for safety was really bright, would have been good to have a curtain near door so can shade it a little, but keep it visible for safety.
This was a lovely coyntry find near Witney. The Duty Manager was very welcoming and provided excellent customer service. Nothing was too much trouble. The service was very good overall and the food excellent.
The heating in our room couldn't be lowered and it was too hot.
The rooms are top draw, staff excellent and the food very good as well. Value for money for the rooms is great if you can avoid Fridays and Saturdays but can’t fault the place.
Absolutely nothing to complain about.
