We thought no smoking meant no smoking anything.
Pros:

Close to the beach.

Cons:

Seemed everyone was smoking pot all day all night.
It was terrible with the door shut or open. Plus the hotel signature scent was just to strong.
Wife has asthma. It was a terrible stay for her.

Enjoying The Ocean View !!
Pros:

10/10……From check in to check out everything was perfect!!! The room was clean , the bed was comfortable, the separated rooms were great and VIEW !!!! The view was absolutely amazing, We literally slept with the door open at night during our entire stay… The walk to the beach was great , not far at all.. The complimentary towels were nice as well…. This will definitely be my go to when I’m in Jacksonville!!

Cons:

Would have been nice if breakfast was included but it wasn’t a dealbreaker!!!

Unfortunately not a good experience. Construction noise was intolerable.
Pros:

The location is perfect. We love that the hotels suites are all oceanfront. The housekeeping staff was always so friendly when we met them in the hallway at anytime.

Cons:

This property is under construction. I stayed in August and they were working at that time as well, but the construction never impeded our comfort. However on this trip we felt we were in a total construction site after our first night. The noise was overwhelming. I was in Jacksonville for a medical procedure at Mayo clinic and once it was complete I was confined to bed. This was so difficult because in recovery there was absolutely no rest for the entire day. We did call and complain about the noise and we were told we could switch rooms. But again I’m confined to my bed post procedure. My husband witnessed others at the desk also complaining about the noise. We couldn’t drown out the noise, we couldn’t hear our TV even with the volume up to 45. It was difficult and I wish we had a different experience as my past experience here has been so pleasant. Upon checkout when asked and I spoke of the real noise problem, I was told it shouldn’t have been an issue as they weren’t working on our floor. So no apology, that’s incredibly poor customer relations and I am writing to Marriott to make them aware. I would highly caution a guest at this point and to be very aware that it is not a quiet stay right now. You will not enjoy the sound of the waves and comfort of your room during the day.

Rethink your choice
Pros:

The view was beautiful.

Cons:

We couldn't check in until 4 pm. There was construction happening on the floor above us. We had to ride the elevator with dumpsters and items that were being removed. The noise was horrible for the first hour and a half we were there. We walked out to the beach to get away and could still hear it. At around 2 am somebody, probably staff, were walking around on the construction floor right above our room keeping us awake. Not a restful night at all. Breakfast was $18 and was no different from the free breakfast you get at a less expensive hotel. When I asked why I was told you could go back for seconds. I can do that at a free breakfast. This was a special trip for my wife's Birthday. We left at 6 am that morning, and will never go back there. Beginning to rethink patronizing the whole chain of hotels.

The beds are very comfortable. The view of the ocean and the beach from the room is awesome. The water pressure is great. The staff were super kind and helpful. The chef is wonderful!

Cons:

The carpets need to change out to wooden or parquet floors.

The staff could be more respectful and more responsive. The guy who checked us in said license and card. Nothing else. Thanked him even after the rudeness and still no response.
