Hotel Keihan Kyotoeki Minami

Very close to Kyoto station. 2min walk.
Large shopping mall under ground of kyoto station shopping and restraunts.

It was a good place to stay for a night. Although we did not have towels in the bathroom. The front desk was surprised and asking if we were sure there were none. The bed was hard to sleep on and the room and bathroom was super small.

Very good location! Room is clean. Restaurant and shopping area all walking distance.

Hotel Keihan Kyotoeki
Minami was the cheapest hotel on our Japan trip, and the rooms were also the smallest. The family room was less than 300 square feet, but it wasn't overly cramped. The bathroom was incredibly small, with no space for a toiletry bag. However, the location was fantastic! It's right across from Kyoto Station's North Exit. On both days in Kyoto, I visited a tourist attraction in the morning, then returned to the hotel to rest before catching the subway to the next one. Kyoto Station is also quite spacious, perfect for shopping and dining. The hotel also offers coffee, carbonated drinks, and other beverages. Microwaves and ironing boards are also conveniently located on each floor. The hotel also offers breakfast, but we didn't try it. The staff was also very friendly, and overall, it was a good choice. For convenient transportation, this hotel is a top choice.

A minute away from the beautiful Kyoto station, and close to all the dining options. Plus easy to go anywhere.

Close to train station, shopping and food

Easy access to Kyoto Station. Also our room faced the station, so we could watch the Shinkansen arrive and depart.

Friendly staffs, many free drinks offer for guess. Self check in/out which i never saw this beforw st any hotels. Super close to restaurants, malls, station.

The room' was compact as expected but a decent one for the family of 3, took extra charge for early check-in which is is unusual.

The best aspect of this hotel is the location, right in front of the Kyoto station. Great for arriving from and catching the bullet train. A block away from where tours meet. However, the room was a double made into a triple by adding an extra bed. Very hard beds. No room to walk with 3 people each with a medium suitcase and 3 carry ons. There were hairs in the bathroom when we arrived. I posted my first impression with Expedia, and upon checking out the staff member asked me to hold and apologized with a bow for the “incomplete cleaning.” Needless to say, the staff is great.

Conveniently located. We used google translate to communicate with staff. Breakfast didn't look amazing- but there were lots of other options close to hotel. Location was key- directly across from Kyoto station. Great location if you plan to use transit system everywhere but not in immediate reasonable walking distance to most attraction and sites so keep that in mind. Overall, stay was good.

It felt safe in the area, it was convenient for transportation and dining facilities. Lots of underground dining place and shopping facilities inside of the Kyoto Station! Love the hotel’s amenities as well and their overall service.

This hotel was so great! We loved having a view of the Shinkansen trains coming and going right out our window - but was completely soundproof to the outside! And being just across the street from Kyoto station was amazing - so easy to get anywhere then back again, and so many wonderful dining options just across the street! The buffet breakfast was also surprisingly good!

Decent hotel in a very good location directly across the street from the station. I was able to check out this morning, get a drink from the vending machine, and get to the bullet train platform in just under 10 mins. The hotel is nice and service was very good.

It is obvious the staff is invested in this hotel. The place is immaculate. I liked the buffet area which provided an area where you could bring your food and drink and enjoy the space.
