The location
How close we were to the beach. The pool was great, too, especially since we couldn't get in the ocean due to double red flags. The room was clean. Liked the gym too.
Comfy bed, just need to be queen vs full. Leaky ceiling in the breakfast area. Had to pay for parking bucks $15 a day=$45 for 3 days. No where did I see this info. Had to text the front to get the toilet seat tightened and the toilet roll holder was loose too. The toilet seat was too close to the wall/sink area... I had to prop my left arm up on the sink while using the toilet.
Breakfast was great, although they had a ceiling leak that was dripping on our table while trying to enjoy our food… Room was easily accessible from the pool (like we wanted), but the bathroom / walls / window were dirty and did not seem to be actually ever deep cleaned… Pool was nice, but also did not seem to be maintained well. Our thermostat jumped up / down on its own. On our first night stay, we woke up to our thermostat calling for 48° temps and the room was 60°, so extremely chilly and uncomfortable sleeping conditions for my young children. Additionally, the water pressure was less than normal and it took 20-30 seconds for the water to even come out of the shower head. The tub plug + sink plug were both stuck down and we had to pry them up to drain water when taking a shower or brushing our teeth… A lot of things that need improvement and did not impress me, especially for paying over $330 / nightly..
The best part of the trip was the friendliness and compassion from Pebble at the front desk — She is a ray of sunshine!!
I gotta say this hotel is the best. Compared to the other giant hotels all around it looks pretty unassuming however don't judge a book by its cover. It has fantastic beach access, breakfast every morning, a nice quiet little private spot to sit outside for each guest (great if you get overwhelmed with crowds from the bigger hotels), very clean and is pet friendly. It’s a nice quiet little place but easy walking to all the crowded places nearby. However by far the best is the staff.
Every person is super nice and friendly and they go out of their way to make your stay comfy and enjoyable. I have to shout out to my personal favorite Pebble. She was a joy to interact with every morning with her bright and cheery disposition and great big smile! Not to mention if you have a request (even an odd one) Pebble make sure to get it done no matter what it takes!! Can't wait to come visit again.
Location
Parking fee
The location is unbeatable, and the walk to the beach is seconds. Ample parking, friendly staff, included breakfast, clean pool and a small store for those late night snacks. Ice machine and hotel doors are very accessible and convenient.
The bathroom had mold in the shower, the AC rattled, the shampoo/conditioner had not been filled, there was little to even no water pressure at times.
The building to the east had tour busses stop there 1-2 times daily while we were there, which made access difficult to impossible at times so schedule around those.
Great breakfast. Great beach location. Super friendly staff. Comfortable beds.
The allowance of dogs is a gamble. Barking dogs are always a possibility and our stay included neighbors with dogs and it wasn’t pleasant.
Breakfast was great 😃
Steps to Beach
The breakfast was good. They attempted to resolve an issue.
At the time of checking into the hotel they could not find my reservation through booking.com at all. I was then asked to wait while they checked in other waiting guests that came in after me. When I asked for the manager who was on call that night and she told me her name I then asked for her number as I had already spoken to her twice before coming to ensure everything was ready and handled, and she would more than likely remember that I called previously and be able to help me more efficiently as the person at the front desk had no clue what was going on. I was then given a number that was not the managers number but in fact the main hotels number. When I questioned the lady at the front desk, she stated she didn't have it, it was in a book that she would have to look for. I asked her if she could please get the direct number and provide it to me. At this time I was still having to wait as other guests continued to be checked in. The front desk finally called the manager(without looking for the said "book") and explained what was going on, the moment the manager heard her say my name she stated "I just spoke with her the other day, everything should be set for that quest" (she was on speaker phone). It was very much not, though the manager did not come in to handle the situation she did tell the front desk to upgrade my room to a beach view with easy beach access for no extra charge, as well as reimbursement of one whole night. They both did apologize for the situation. I thought the situation was resolved for the most part until I got to the room and checked out the beach view and was locked out! (Yes I had my key card) Turned out the battery was dead, as I found out when I went back to the front desk to inform her (the same woman as before). She told me she would send someone right away to change the battery.
I am unfortunately staying here right now and it was a huge mistake. The only positive is the location, right on the beach. Other than that, the hotel is run down. The room was not very clean and I had to wipe down surfaces to remove hair and dust. There are little brown bugs flying around. The air conditioning unit sounds like a freight train and disrupts our sleep. The breakfast selection is inedible, even the hard-boiled eggs. You pay $15 a day for parking. The pool is tiny and depressing. The staff are friendly but need to clean more thoroughly. Overall, I wouldn’t stay here again, even for the location. Terrible experience. I would leave now if I could.
This wasn’t a normal stay for us. We had last minute and change of plans. I have stayed in 100’s of Hiltons. I have spoken with 4 different associates over 2 days and all of them are 5 star when it comes to service. The hotel is right on the beach / dunes and you can walk out the door and walkway and be there. Beautiful gulf water. Umbrellas and chairs. White sands. The hotel is small and only 2 floors but any lack in the number of floors is made up in service x10. The hotel is clean and pool is great. I want to give special recognition to Ron who was more accommodating than those working in a 5 star hotel, Angel the front desk manager, and I wish I remembered the sweetest lady working the afternoon of May 18, 2026. She was the kindest, sweetest southerner that made you feel welcome and right at home! Definitely worked for our stay!
The room was exactly on the beach.. Ron & Amy were awesome!
We stayed 3 nights - no housekeeping.
