The location
We booked a one night stay and 24 day parking package direct with the hotel and got a very fair price. We’d stayed a few years ago and the front/reception and restaurant have been nicely refurbished. Easy to find a parking space. We left the car key at reception the morning we left. Room 103, ground floor. Very apparent that the room needs redecorated. No fridge, no safe, no sockets near bedside tables, but there was a kettle, tea, coffee, a marked coffee table and chair, separate desk and chair, ironing board and iron, large tv, comfy bed, aircon, adequate shower, shampoo, body wash. We had very noisy neighbours in the room directly above from 3-4.15am, when they left, probably for the airport. There was a grassed quadrangle outside the window. Dinner at the restaurant was ok, but airport prices. We booked the hotel taxi to get to the airport as it was a fixed price and cheaper than Uber. Ok overall, but it’s looking tired. Friendly staff a big plus
The atmosphere in this place is peaceful and quite. Lovely restaurant and great friendly staff. We had lunch with friends and family and the food was delicious, there are a lot of choices in the menu. I really recommend the pork belly and the profiteroles. My son with celiac disease had a gluten free pizza and a portion of french fries, at the end chocolate ice-cream with sweety strawberries. He didn't have any problem or stomach pain. He wants to go back!! They really taking care of the allergies and make sure to deliver safe food on the table for the guests. I really appreciate it. Thank you.
Rooms were ready clean and Comfortable, the check in was fairly quick
I arrived at 10.30pm and was departing at 3am the next day but was charged £15.00 to park my car, when I asked why they said it was a Gatwick Airport hotel. I live in this area and this hotel 5 miles from the terminal I felt completely ripped off!
everything from start to finish.
