We were very impressed by the look of the hotel, the amazing breakfast, comfortable and stylish room, and the quiet atmosphere.

Cons:

I would have liked to have had a map of the hotel to find the pool, gym, etc

Good value north west of Gainesville Center. worth a look
Pros:

This is a clean hotel on the north side of Gainesville. I like the lobby and had a western feel to it. A little Spanish rococo style. The pool area had a spa and it was very pretty. There was lush landscaping around the property. There was a very good gym downstairs. Breakfast was slightly above average because they had custom-made omelette station. It’s a 20 minute drive to the University of Florida campus. There are a few good restaurants around the hotel. I would stay there again.

The omlette station saved the breakfast experience.

Cons:

The hotel room is SEVERELY dirty. The rooms lack. It smells musty, the place needs a total overhaul. Cleaning won't do. It's so old that it all needs to be replaced. The linens were torn, stained and lacked comfort. Bed is old. Not sure how long those mattresses have been there. I will never stay here again until it's updated. For the money, it's not worth it. VERY disappointed!!!! DO BETTER!!!
