Closing the hot tub at 8 pm is absurd.
We chose to stay here as part of our 26th wedding anniversary trip to Ireland from the US.
After a strenuous day at the Cliffs of Moher, strong winds and getting rained on, we were particularly looking forward to the relief a hot tub would bring. We checked in to the hotel, went to dinner, and upon our return were informed the hot tub would be closing in less than 20 minutes.
8 pm is a most child-like time to close an amenity that is for adults. What a bitter disappointment.
Le personnel de l’accueil était adorable, les chambres d’hôtel très spacieuses et le petit déjeuner succulent
Dommage que l’hôtesse d’accueil du petit déjeuné soit si peu aimable
Positives - clean rooms, comfortable beds
Bar / Restaurant - poor menu selection, very very slow service.
Breakfast - hot food, cereals, breads depleted and not restocked 40mins before breakfast finished
Bedrooms - no water in rooms
Spa facilities and delicious bar food. Ample parking and helpful staff.
Compact Spa rooms.
very easy to find , choices of 2 places to eat within the hotel. reasonable prices. we had 3 adults stay in a room with 2 single beds and 1 double, perfect for our needs. staff were exceptional, very polite and friendly but not imposing. breakfast had great options and were prepared fresh throughout the morning. there was a wedding the night we stayed and we couldn't here a thing, very quiet in the bedrooms
rooms were quite warm, we stayed at the end of February. we didn't have enough milk, tea bags oflr coffee in the room but staff were more than happy ro give us as many as we wanted.
Very spacious comfortable room. Staff around the hotel were very friendly and very helpful. Excellent leisure centre.
The restaurant was poor. Canteen standard food, restaurant prices. Breakfast was good but dinner very bland. Chowder had more veg than fish. Bread was hard. The waiter told us this was how soda bread always was. It isn't. He was very insistent that we were wrong which was unpleasant and felt like gaslighting.Chips were good. Would stay in the hotel but would not have dinner. It's edible but that's about all.
Fab hotel with amazing staff. Food was beautiful & great value in the quench restaurant. The staff Huw and Fred made us feel so welcome. Were both helpful and cheerful and made the experience so much better. Definitely would return again.
I recently had the opportunity to stay at the Radisson Blu Hotel & Spa, Limerick, both as a guest and as a 6th-year student interested in pursuing a career in hospitality, and it was an experience I won’t forget.
From the moment I arrived, I was made feel incredibly welcome. During my stay, I was lucky enough to meet staff and management across a wide range of departments, which gave me a real insight into what happens behind the scenes. From Front of House and Food & Beverage to Accommodation, the kitchen, the spa, reception and the reservations and sales team, it was clear how much teamwork and dedication goes into making every guest’s stay special. Even in a short amount of time, I could see the pride each staff member takes in their role.
The bedrooms are modern, comfortable, and well equipped with everything you could need, including tea and coffee facilities and recyclable bottled water. It’s clear that a lot of thought has gone into making guests feel relaxed and at home.
Breakfast the next morning was a highlight in itself, with a great selection of hot and cold options as well as freshly prepared dishes available from the kitchen. There was something for everyone, and the quality really stood out.
The hotel grounds are also beautiful, set on around 20 acres with walking paths and animal areas that add to the calm and welcoming atmosphere — something you don’t often find.
A special thank you to Deputy General Manager Gillian, who was absolutely amazing. Her passion, professionalism, and dedication to her role were genuinely inspiring, and it’s easy to see how her leadership reflects throughout the whole team.
What stood out most to me was the atmosphere of the hotel. The public spaces and corridors, filled with photographs, signed jerseys, and comfortable lounge areas, give it a warm and personal feel. I genuinely left feeling at home.
The hotel caters for everything — from corporate stays to family getaways, weddings, debs, parties, and kids’ clubs — and it’s clear that every type of guest is welcomed and looked after equally well.
Overall, this experience was not only enjoyable as a guest but also incredibly valuable as a student hoping to work in hospitality in the future. I’m very grateful for the opportunity and would highly recommend the hotel to anyone looking for a welcoming and high-quality stay.
