Accès, parking, spa
The location of the hotel was great and easy to access via car from UL. It had many parking spots at no additioanl cost. The room was clean and comfortable and it was nice having three beds for our family of four. The front desk staff were very pleasant and helpful. There is a nice walking path around the hotel that led you to visit some of the animals on location.
Nothing on the hotel's part, we only stayed one night and therefore didn't use any of the facilities.
I recently stayed at the Radisson Blu Hotel Limerick on a Sunday night while attending the Dan McCabe concert, and unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing overall.
While the daytime staff were welcoming and professional on arrival, the service quickly deteriorated as the evening went on. The bar service in particular was handled poorly. The bar closed abruptly at 11:00pm, and we were asked to leave while still in the middle of our drinks, without any opportunity to finish them. To make matters worse, a staff member incorrectly told us there was another bar open in the lobby, which was simply not true. Considering the amount of money we had spent, this felt dismissive and far below the standard expected from a hotel of this level.
More concerning was an incident later that night that left me feeling extremely uncomfortable and unsafe. At around 2:00am, while I was in bed watching TV and my partner was asleep, I heard noises outside the room followed by a very brief knock. When I checked, there was a man in full uniform lingering outside the door, appearing to look into the room. His behaviour was unusual and unsettling, and it made me feel uneasy enough to wake my partner. As a guest, feeling safe in your room is the absolute minimum expectation, and this experience completely undermined that.
Overall, while the initial welcome was pleasant, the poor handling of guests in the bar and the disturbing late-night incident made this stay a very negative experience. I would not feel comfortable returning and would not recommend this hotel based on my experience.

Loved the location, staff were very friendly and very helpful.
Room didn't appear to be cleaned properly from previous guests. Found a sock half under the bed and a sweet stuck to the floor

Beds were comfortable and reception area was pleasant.
Food was very average and over priced. Drinks also over priced.

Tennis courts closed - not stated in website prior to booking
Basketball courts unplayable due to low and not evenly matched net heights - again not mentioned on website
The above were 2 main reasons for booking the hotel as it was a mother and son night away
Hot tub was cold - told there was a problem with the boiler
Sewerage smell in the steam room.
Told there was a waiting list for the pool
Arrived for dinner in the bar (had to book a table which was no problem )
Advised there was only a reduced menu available- a full menu was listed on the website. After much discussion a fun menu was finally offered to us. Food was very slow to arrive but was tasty. Bar service was extremely slow.
This was booked as a nice getaway for me and my son and in reality we couldn’t do any of the things we had planned because the facilities were not available! A very expensive trip away to sleep in a hotel bed and not enjoy the facilities that were advertised on the website. And although the food was nice it was a very slow and inefficient service.
