Always friendly front desk
Still working on paving parking lot
The staff was exceptionally friendly! The beds were very comfortable! Unfortunately, we didn't have the time in our schedule to fit in the pool or fitness center, but the convenience of having the unexpected fun of bowling, and then heading right up stairs to relax, was such a great treat.
The shower pressure was great, but personally, I like the water to be a little hotter when I shower.

We have stayed at Sun & Ski on our trips to Stowe since 2018. From a junior suite with two small kids and a dog, to a Riverside loft room with three kids and two dogs, and now a two-bedroom suite with full kitchen for three bigger kids and a dog, Sun & Ski has always had a perfect place for us to stay with our whole family at a competitive price.
The rooms are clean and quiet. Rooms 216/214 offer an apartment-size two-bedroom suite that feels like home with a corner window view of the river and the convenience of a slippers-on walk down to Stowe Bowl for a late-night order of pretzel bites. The pool, updated hot tub (as of our April 2026 stay), and easy access to the bowling alley and mini golf make it easy to entertain the kids without having to leave. The Riverside Loft rooms were great with our older dogs for quick outside access through the slider for a middle-of-the-night walk. We have not had the opportunity to stay in the newly renovated portion of the hotel, but we are excited to try the new rooms on our next trip.
While Sun & Ski is not in the immediate downtown, we sing the praises of its location to anyone who will listen. The bike and ski shop across the street makes bike rentals easy, and the rec path is also directly across the street, which provides access to downtown with just a short, enjoyable pedal down the path taking in mountain views along the way. Many of the restaurants along the rec path have direct access, so it's easy to walk or ride to your favorite spot like Idletyme, Piecasso, or Stowe Bee Bakery (just a few of our favorites) without having to take the car or worry about parking downtown. Restaurants are dog friendly, which makes it easy to step off the path for a quick bite or drink during a dog walk. Alchemist, Girakofi, and Yellow Turtle all within a 5-10 minute walk of Sun & Ski. We love how the area around Sun & Ski encourages us to slow down and enjoy the outdoors.
All the employees at Sun & Ski go above and beyond to help you enjoy your stay, but Ethan, who usually works evenings, is especially kind and friendly, especially when our youngest walks to desk to buy a candy bar from the snack area. If the weather is good, they will have a fire pit most nights, and offer s'mores ingredients.
At Sun & Ski, you feel as comfortable as you do at home.
My wife and I stayed the weekend here for our first wedding anniversary. This was a trip I’ll remember not only for the amazing memories that my wife and I made throughout the weekend, but the exceptional service Sun and Ski Inn provided throughout the weekend! The staff was amazing meeting all of the requests I had, they had a beautiful bouquet of flowers and a bottle of white wine waiting for us. We had such a good time hiking long trail on Saturday enjoying the beautiful views and walking other trails near Sun and Ski. The restaurant at the resort was very good and was very fast service. The bowling we enjoyed on Saturday night was amazing, the gentleman at the front desk of the bowling alley was super nice along with the bartender. The front desk helped us locate our room and overall all of the staff was super friendly and helpful and made my wife and I feel at home. Will be recommending to many friends and families. Unforgettable stay!

We booked a guys ski trip to Stowe Vermont for the third week in March 2026, and one of my best friends stayed with Sun & Ski Inn and Suites four years prior and had nothing but great things to say.
We actually utilized one of the condo's up the road from the Inn, and we could not have been happier! Tons of space for the four of us, it was clean, well maintained, water was provided, and the view was excellent!
I would Highly recommend, and we plan on going back again for another guys weekend and will definitely be booking with them!
The upgrades and cleanliness really make for a relaxing vacation. Great food and staff. Can't wait to go back next winter.

Location was great. Room was less than desirable. Beds were not queen sized beds, as advertised. Condition of the unit was very “warn.” Tv could not have been larger than a 24”. Pretty sure my computer monitor is larger. Would not stay in this 3 bed condo again.
The property itself is beautiful and in a great location, with a really nice atmosphere. There were also plenty of amenities available, which added to the overall appeal, even though we didn’t get a chance to use them during our stay.
The staff on site were excellent very personable, accommodating, and easy to communicate with. The instructions provided were clear and made the entire experience smooth and stress free.
The only concern I had was with the cleanliness of the room. Unfortunately, the bedsheets had visible stains, including what appeared to be blood and other dark marks that may have been from makeup like mascara. In addition, the bathroom was not as clean as expected the toilet flush area had noticeable, unidentifiable stains that were present when we first arrived. This was a bit disturbing from a hygiene standpoint, as it raises concerns about proper sanitation and cross contamination.
Aside from the cleanliness issues, everything else about the stay was very enjoyable. I would definitely consider returning and would still recommend this hotel to others. I just suggest that more attention is given to the cleaning standards so they match the otherwise great experience.
Beautiful new rooms and very friendly staff. You gotta stay here!! We have stayed at other places in Stowe. Best place yet! We will be back.
Stayed here a few nights with my sister and our kids mainly to Ski Stowe. Chose it for its great location between the mountain and the village..was 8 to.10 min drive to mountain. Nice modern rooms, comfy beds, nice pool area with hot tub for a break after skiing. Front desk was super nice (Ethan) at check in and helpful getting us oriented. They had free coffee in lobby and cookies for kids. Parking was easy and was unloading. River view room, view so pretty. We ate out and ordered in which came fast. Supermarket is about 7 min away and alot food options nearby. Would stay again!
Need hotter water and higher pressure.
My son and I spent a weekend skiing at Stowe and stayed 2 nights at the Sun & Ski Inn & Suites. It's a great little property off the main highway, about 10 to 15 min from the lifts. The property is literally off the main road (hotel might have been a roadside inn in a prior life). However, it looks as if it's been totally rebuilt as the rooms where we stayed appeared fairly new. Hotel has a modern feel to it. It appeared it was family run (vs. the more impersonal appraoch of a branded, limited service hotel) The rooms were bright, ample in size, with a nice bathroom and closet. Room and hallways were nicely decorated. There's a bowling alley on site and I believe I saw a mini golf course (it was snowing). Central location near the town of Stowe and restaurants nearby. Great value stay.
