WiFi was so slow it was effectively unusable. carpet so worn and dirty it had holes, homeless lying all around, room was old with few lights working...
The location was awesome, very walkable and good dining options. It is an historic hotel, and they don't hide that fact. No modern updates. If did feel that even though some remodeling could be done, it was clean. Had drinks in the Mexican restaurant onsite, cool place and great salsa. Probably should have had dinner there but didn't. Only downfall is I couldn't get the shower to work.
Lots to
Beautiful historic place!
Very unique historical hotel. Safe and clean
Terrible staff & extremely hot rooms with no adjustable thermostat
Very unique historic property that I have fairly regularly visited. Ladies at the front desk aren’t always the most friendly and somewhat abrasive. The amenities are pretty much non existent (don’t even ask about the pool) but the cool factor of the property combined with low rates keeps me coming back.
Location was good, close Chase Field, walking distance. Parking close by $18. As soon as you come in, there's a smell, distinguished of an old place. We had to leave early cause we could hear people talking near by. Beds were comfortable though. For 1 night it was ok.
Made to feel welcome; staff helpful but not solicitous--facility clean and attended. Felt at ease. Only a few blocks to the Symphony Hall. This is my 3rd visit, and I will be back! Enjoy the easy elegance.
Clean room, stayed in the Clack Gable room, great room! Cool Irish Pub next door
I hate to be so negative, but there was just nothing good about this place. I understand it’s a historical hotel but it is not remotely up to what people expect from a hotel room these days. I had problems with basically everything. The room is tiny and cramped . The walls are so thin I could literally hear the conversation my neighbor was having. The mattress was so soft I probably sunk into it 6 inches. There’s no Temperature control in the room so I was subject to whatever temperature they seem to have it set at. The TV situation was a joke. It seems like it was only local channels with commercials and there wasn’t even a channel guide. So I tried to watch Netflix on my phone, but the Wi-fi is terrible so it just kept buffering. This place needs some major modernization. I would never stay here again.
It is not handicapped acessible.
The room was cute and comfortable. The restaurant downstars was tight, but the foid was good. I did not like that there wasnt available parking or that they dont valudate parking.
Not a bad property. Centrally located and basic.
The staff was amazing the hotel is nice it was dated and you could tell it was dated the only problem I had was you could hear the neighbor all night long talking on his phone because the walls are so thin and you could hear everything outside on the street also you could hear dragging of chairs over the room all evening until the bars closed.
No AC in the rooms. Just a fan
Issues connecting with the WIFI
Very clean and comfy room. Super friendly staff. Restaurant was amazing.
Very vintage but loved it. We stayed there for a concert at the phx arena and it was within walking distance.
No hotel parking.
