Grote kamer, rustig en goed gelegen.
All staff I met were helpful and friendly. A wonderful team. Room great. Heater a bonus as I was cold after a long motorcycle trip. Food great. Easier to say what I didn't like.
Nothing. It was spot on.
Old fashioned style hotel with all the facilities required
Nothing really, such an old building has character
Location
Nothing
The Argyll Arms is well-located in Campbeltown. It is an older property with lots of character. It has off-street parking, which was a real plus for us. Their breakfast was very substantial and well prepared & served. The front desk was helpful with dining options and directed us to a convenient launderette as well.
The friendly staff and their willingness to chat and make you feel welcome.
There was nothing not to like it served it's purpose admirably.
Great location…nice staff
Twin bed too short
Staff were very helpful, friendly and supportive.
On my first two nights stay it was a bit noisy from who was in the room above me.
Friendly staff central location
Easy storage for my bikes
Staff were so friendly from a warm welcome to last goodbye. It's an old hotel that had had a refurbishment in recent years. It is not plush but it is extremely well kept and the style is in keeping with the old building. Everywhere was spotless, both public areas and in the bedroom.
The food was really good too. Great breakfast. Buffet cereals fruit and juice and served your choice of hot food, tea, coffee, and toast. Bacon is really thick and great quality. We had High tea on arrival. To the uninitiated, this is a Scottish tea. It is not afternoon tea. It starts with a round of toast and a pot of tea, followed by your main course. We had fish and chips, which was excellent. You could have had steak pie, lasagne, mac and cheese, scampi or gammon steak. Last of all, you are served with an assortment of cakes. I would not say the selection was great as they were all bought in rather than the home made, which I have had previously. However, value for money at £20 a head it was great.
We had a fantastic 2 nights and will definitely return.
Good secure parking, good bar, breakfast was nice. Great staff.
Shower was poor,
Room was lovely and clean, breakfast was very good
The hotel is a bit old-fashioned, but at the same time, this is part of its charm. The quality of the beds is really good. Bathroom is well equipped, but rather small. Rooms are generally at the backside (hence quiet at night), with view on the parking lot. The staff is very friendly and helpful. It is possible to have dinner until 8:30pm, either in the lounge close to the entrance , or in the pub.
There is no elevator in the building, and the way from the carpark to the rooms has 2 or 3 corridors and several stairs, so if you have several pieces of luggage, it requires a bit of an effort
