Our road has now been re-opened so the following paragraph needs to be removed please "Due to the riverside location of Roomzzz York City, in extreme weather circumstances there is a possibility that the property may need to evacuate the property when no access to/from the hotel may occur. Roomzzz York City will be given flood advice by the Environment Agency and will evacuate in line with their guidelines. In the event of a property evacuation, guests may be relocated to neighboring properties in or around York, offered date changes or financial reimbursements. The York Flood Alleviation Scheme (FAS) An 18 months’ Environment Agency (EA) project to carry out major flood defense upgrades within the city will begin from January 2021 along Terry Avenue and surrounding areas. This work is extremely important to the future of York, and we are fully supportive of the project. However, this will mean alternative access to the hotel is needed for guests during this period, as well as occasional daytime noise from the EA work carried out. Perfect location. Very clean. Friendly and helpful staff. Peaceful.
For some unknown reason there was no soap or shampoo in any of the containers.
The kitchen facility was a bonus for breakfasts or a quick hob or microwave meal at night. The beds were very comfortable, however our 2 pillows a bit too firm for us. Everything was super clean, the area is safe and quiet being close to a quiet non static caravan park with Roundtree park and cycle route close by.
Parking below hotel (Extra cost / day) also great.
The room was amazing and was in a great location that was too close or far from the city.
The soap and lotion was great. Will be buying some when I'm home.
The kitchen was nice but did not like that some of it was under the stairs as I hit my head a couple times but I didn't really hate anything.

Our room had a loud bathroom fan that we couldn’t turn off for ages, eventually we found the switch but it was out of reach and difficult to get to.

Top floor penthouse apartment didn’t have a view because balcony is solid and trees have been let to grow and block river view

Well located on the river, out of the bustle but only a ten-minute walk to the centre.
You could buy whatever you needed for breakfast, with free croissants and coffee. The kitchen area was well had everything one needed and was very useful.
that the electric car bays were blocked with cars not charging. It would be helpful to be able to reserve a charging point ahead of arrival.
We stayed two nights but the room was not service after the first night. That had not been made clear beforehand.
