Our road has now been re-opened so the following paragraph needs to be removed please "Due to the riverside location of Roomzzz York City, in extreme weather circumstances there is a possibility that the property may need to evacuate the property when no access to/from the hotel may occur. Roomzzz York City will be given flood advice by the Environment Agency and will evacuate in line with their guidelines. I would 100% recommend staying here and I would deffonatly come back.
Pros:

The room (loft suite) was very modern and spacious with lovely decor.
Very clean and the staff were very helpful.

Cons:

The only problem was the skylight was just above the bed so it was very bright when waking up.

A wonderful experience overall despite an initial hiccup.
Pros:

Location was perfect, not right in the city but only a short 10 minute walk to the centre. Room was clean and everything you could need for a self-contained apartment. Staff were extremely friendly and the maintenance guy, James was a true gentleman!

In the next street was a lovely little real ale pub called the Slip Inn that had a good selection of beers and friendly staff and customers!

Cons:

The heating wasn’t working in my original room and James spent a good half hour trying to repair it. Eventually I was upgraded to a different room without any quibble at all.

The coffee machine in reception was permanently broken all during my stay but I just made one in my apartment…no problem.

Amazing
Pros:

The hotel was really nice and well kept. Staff were amazing and very helpful. Our room was also spotless with all the amenities working. Very good stay at an amazing price.

Cons:

Unfortunately we had some very noisy neighbours above us stomping around at 11pm at night. This obviously isn’t the hotels fault
Nothing was said as I didn’t want to be a nuisance

Very enjoyable stay and within walking distance of the town centre
Pros:

Very modern very nice looking property, reception area very good, apartment was very spacious and comfortable

Cons:

The parking was a concern, not knowing if there would be a parking space available upon arrival, parking should be reserved when the booking is made and paid for in advance.

Pros:

The facilities as a whole were exceptional. Everything was explained well when we checked in, and all questions were answered fully. The beds were comfy and the temperature of the showers was fantastic.

Cons:

The room only had 1 sofa in it. We booked a 2 bed apartment and there were 2 couples. I think an additional sofa could have been provided so that we were all able to sit comfortably in the living area. Also,

a mirror in the downstairs bedroom would be beneficial.

Unfair motorcycle parking charges but otherwise a great place.
Pros:

The staff and room were excellent

Cons:

The £15 charge for parking a motorcycle!!!
If you travel in a group on motorcycles (as is often the case) make sure you take up a car space for each bike, rather than squeeze four into one space.
You will be paying the same rate as a car, so you may as well get what you pay for.
Apart from that the place is great, and in January, good value for money.
