Our road has now been re-opened so the following paragraph needs to be removed please "Due to the riverside location of Roomzzz York City, in extreme weather circumstances there is a possibility that the property may need to evacuate the property when no access to/from the hotel may occur. Roomzzz York City will be given flood advice by the Environment Agency and will evacuate in line with their guidelines. In the event of a property evacuation, guests may be relocated to neighboring properties in or around York, offered date changes or financial reimbursements. The York Flood Alleviation Scheme (FAS) An 18 months’ Environment Agency (EA) project to carry out major flood defense upgrades within the city will begin from January 2021 along Terry Avenue and surrounding areas. Overall grand stay
Pros:

Only down fall top fall and a little noisy from vents or something not quite sure but bareable just a little uncomfortable. If lower down wouldnt hear

Touch underwhelming
Pros:

Touch underwhelming. No different to a premier on really. Room was okay, was a packet of crisps left in the cupboard which was slightly annoying. Added the birthday package on for £20, waste of money, children balloons which was dissapointing to see. Average stay, location was good though

Ideal Location, Nice Hotel
Pros:

The rooms are spacious and clean, well appointed and certainly the one we were allocated had a nice view over the river.

The hotel is fairly central as long as you don't mind a short walk (nothing in York is that far away), and due to its location a little farther out of the centre, it allowed me to explore some areas of the City we hadn't previously been to, like the old Terrys site, Rowntree Park etc.

Lovely clean accommodation right by the riverside
Pros:

Lovely clean accommodation with good facilities in a peaceful location a short walk from the Town Centre. We really enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning

Great Location close but not too 0close
Pros:

Great location not too much of a walk to the Centre but lovely and quiet. We were given a better room too so we were very happy

Cons:

Coffee Ooo the entire stay as was one of the lifts but it didn't really cause us any problems

A lovely weekend in York, a pleasant short walk into town
Pros:

A lovely room, clean and bright, comfortable bed and seating, we had been upgraded on arrival so was a lovely surprise, nice friendly receptionist,also enjoyed the complimentary croissants

Cons:

There was nothing we didn’t like, only issue we had was with tv remote, volume down button didn’t work so had a bit of a panic when tv come on at full volume late at night, a minor inconvenience really

Pros:

Best place we’ve stayed in the last month of travelling. Everything was perfect and the location was great - just outside of the city so nice and quiet but only a short walk into town. The free tea, coffee and croissants were a bonus too!

Brilliant stay, great location and fab staff!
Pros:

Great location. Brilliant facilities at the hotel and in the room.

Cons:

Unfortunately the coffee machine was broken, which meant you couldn’t get the complimentary coffee in a morning.

A little annoyed
Pros:

Staff were amazing location aswell and view from 419 is great too

Cons:

Our skylight didn't work
Flooring was coming up in bits
The taxi service you use on 2 occasions took very long to arrive the 2nd occasion made us have to find are own taxi becaause yours didnt turn up and making us miss our train home and we had to purchase more tickets for this reason so we could get home
