Our road has now been re-opened so the following paragraph needs to be removed please "Due to the riverside location of Roomzzz York City, in extreme weather circumstances there is a possibility that the property may need to evacuate the property when no access to/from the hotel may occur. Roomzzz York City will be given flood advice by the Environment Agency and will evacuate in line with their guidelines. York in May
Pros:

We stayed in a room facing the river. It was really quiet and peaceful. Also the room had everything we needed.

Cons:

We had to keep asking for dishwasher tablets. Have a think about how long a guest is staying so that you can give them the correct amount. The knives were blunt. One of the cooking utensils were broken. These are only small things. Overall we'd happily recommend.

10 minutes walk to centre

Cons:

When we arrived at the property the room was ready but i was informed if we wanted to go in before 3pm there was a charge of £10.00, we got there around 1pm. I did pay this as i was with my partner and it was his birthday so i didnt want to moan after travelling and wanted to eat etc but think its bad as the room was ready and i had paid for that room. The products downstairs were seriously overpriced . £9.00 for 2 packets of crisps and a pint of milk.
The picture of the room on the website when i booked it was nothing like the room i was given

Fantastic and I’ll be looking to stay again here and in other cities.
Pros:

Easy access to city yet nice and quiet on an evening. Comfy rooms and warm

Cons:

I would prefer a bit more equipment in the gym - only personal preference but kettlebells very limited

Great location and clean, could do with checking some of the room fittings to ensure they are working
Pros:

Spacious, great location, clean and very quiet

Cons:

The facilities in the room weren’t great - broken shower, ironing board cover hanging off and shower gel in the moisturiser container. I also pre agreed with them I could stay in the same room over two separate bookings and once I got there I had to pay an extra £10 which was annoying, just to stay in the room

We had a lovely stay in York at Roomzzz.
Pros:

Lovely location. Easy to find. Quiet, but close to the main part of town. Beautiful walks along river. Croissants in the morning were a bonus.

The car parking charges were extortionate for residents.

Pros:

Loved this place, room had a kitchenette & downstairs you could purchase food. Mornings had free croissants & they made glean free ones for me also.

Perfectly fine for a short stay, convenient for sightseeing.
Pros:

Convenient location and parking for 24 hours (even after checkout). Room on the 3rd floor was quiet. Room had everything we needed and more.

Cons:

Limited way of cleaning our toilet (no brush provided). Limited airing of the room and the air conditioning got noisy (kept beeping). Limited breakfast options.

Pros:

“Everything was perfect. The reception staff were fantastic.Kind, friendly, and very helpful. To my surprise, I was upgraded at check-in without even asking. In fact, every member of staff I came across was lovely. The hotel is in a quiet location, yet still very close to the city centre. I could list many more things I was happy with, but to sum it up in one word: everything. If I visit York again, I won’t need to look for another hotel – there’s no question I’ll be coming back here.
