Pros:

A run of the mill experience. Basic at reception without special hospitality and very basic restaurant and bar service. Staff delivering a meal with no cutlery and no wine information etc etc.
No information on how to operate room heating, no menu in the room. Very basic but comfortable.

Pros:

Room smelt Mouldy . and bathroom had Mould and dirt all over the place. Room was very cold after telling reception that it was freezing i was told to turn up the heating and it would eventually warm up but it didn't. So me and my children had to result in sleeping in the same bed with coats on. We stayed for 2 days the next day i told hotel that it was still cold and told them i had to put the shower on for some heat they apologised and offered me a free breakfast. But didn't resolve the issue. When returned to my room after a long day and went back to are room it hadn't been cleaned and the room was still very cold this was extremely upsetting. So i had to get towels. From reception. And i was told i needed to ask for my room to be cleaned which ive never heard of before. On the first night i asked for my room to be changed because of the bed for the children where on the floor and wasn't single bed. It was more like a mattress was on

Great Choice for Accessing Northern London
Pros:

Clean and well-presented lobby and room. Reasonable parking option, which is good for 24h from arrival time. Breakfast was very good and had what you would expect for a full English, along with continental options—reasonable price. Location is excellent for car travellers as it is just off the A1, in the back end of a rest stop, and very quiet. Best part is this hotel is pet-friendly 🐶.

Pros:

Its fine. It's on the northbound carriage way of the M1.

There are two things worth knowing:
1. You have to pay extra for parking. To me, this is insane for a hotel on the motorway. Why not build a little more in to the price of the room. I would have been happier to pay this than being annoyed having to pay for parking, however little.
2. When you exit the car park, there is a no left turn sign, although my satnav said to go left. I went left and cut 30 minutes of my sounth-bound journey.

Otherwise, its a motorway hotel and you get what you pay for.

Great if not paying too much
Pros:

Pleasant check in. Facilities basic and room quite grubby with broken top window ( no handle) so open all night! Dirt on edges of bed base also.
Breakfast was lovely and ample parking but no charging facilities as stated…these are only at the actual service station.
Overall if cheap enough on the day of choice then it’s a good bargain stay with great breakfast and staff.

Very Helpful
Pros:

Excellent to stay at, Staff very friendly and always willing to help, made the stay absolutely wonderful. The water pressure for the shower is low, so no good for a refreshing power shower. I was told that by booking direct you get free parking otherwise £5.00 /night, but i got hotel room cheaper on hotels.com

Wouldn’t use this Ramada hotel again.
Pros:

We have stayed in a Ramada hotel before elsewhere and it was lovely but this one was well run down, the staff overall were lovely but the cleanliness of the rooms were absolutely terrible.
We had to get our room changed due to mould all up the curtains and especially in the bathroom, there is very poor ventilation in the bathroom so was mould everywhere.
Rooms were very hot and the windows can’t be opened, air con doesn’t work very well, we did have a fan that we took from our first room to help with the heat.
There was ants on the breakfast area near the juice and also my sister had an ant infestation in her room.
The kids beds are so uncomfortable you can feel the springs on the mattresses, we did ask for extra bed covers which they gave us to try help make the beds more comfortable but both kids still said it didn’t help. We asked for our room to get cleaned with fresh towels and bedding which never happened so we complained about it, they gave us towels and emptied the bins but did do bedding the next day but never hoovered the room once whilst we stayed.
The plug situation is terrible, there is no plugs next to the beds for charging your phones and there was only 2 plugs in the entire room one which we had the fan on constant so only left us with one plug to charge or use so ended up buying an extension with plugs on it so we were able to charge all our things etc.
Sister was given a travel cot but it was covered in stains so requested a new one which she got.

Unfortunate stay
Pros:

Unfortunately it was not the stay we had expected
Firstly we emailed the hotel directly for best method of arrival / no reply
Gentleman on the desk was extremely courteous
On route to room it was obvious this hotel needs updating then arrival of the room the toilet had urine on the seat/ never mind what else we found on the toilet seat…. We did think ok lets clean this ourselves then the final straw was the blood staining on the sheets / courteous man at desk was very embarrassed he changed our room immediately

Unfortunately we wont be back!
