I didn’t like anything because it’s not safe and secured. Anyone can access the building off of the street and access the elevators and there are no cameras anywhere. there’s only 1 person on staff all night for the whole property which is very large, 6-8 buildings total. Pool was dirty place is horrible. Will never stay there or refer anyone else there.
They messed up my reservation and the front desk guy was rude. He didn’t want to help me because the booking was done through booking.com and they weren’t responsible for changing anything. All the access doors were unlocked so anyone could just walk into the property, no cameras and no staff all night just 1 person at the front desk that was like a 5 min drive from where we stayed. We had to leave our personal belongings at a family members house because we didn’t trust our stuff there. Horrible experience. Will never go back.
The breakfast but the coffee needs to be a bit stronger. The tvs should be upgraded. Other than that the staff wa great and the room was nice sized and comfy.
No ice cream .
Stayed here on New Years Eve to be close to a venue we were celebrating. As a family, we frequently travel and have stayed in all sorts of accommodations with great and not so great experiences, so we normally don't have too many things to complain about, but this particular stay was overall just problematic.
As a Bonvoy member, booked a standard studio suite with a king bed, and received email confirmation of the same. Upon arriving at the hotel, was told that I was in a queen 1 BR (slightly bigger room, but smaller bed). Realized the room in the app had changed as well. Front desk told me "the app probably booked something we didn't have". OK for me, not a big deal, I have a bed. Was placed in building 2. NJ is a leaf friendly state these days, and normally I dont have any issues with it, but walking into the building, I felt like I was in a dispensary, the hallways reeked of the pot smell, not bad for adults but not great for kids. Arrived at my room, which faced the parking lot, meaning if blinds were open, people are looking directly into the room from their cars. Found the bed (was a twin bed, NOT a queen bed). Room was clean and furnished properly, but bed was definitely NOT a queen as advertised, so I now went from a reserved king to a much smaller bed.
Being that it was NYE, we didn't plan to stay in the room very long, just have our night out, and come back and crash in the room.
Before the evening out, we attempted to watch the football games that were on, the cable in the room (satellite I guess) was terrible, the signal froze every 30 seconds and half the channels didnt work, wound up watching from our phones.
The next morning, there had been a light snowfall, and the landscaping company was out and about with leafblowers and plows at 8am (great way to wakeup on New Years Day),so we decided to shower. Water never got above like 70 degrees, so we took a quick lukewarm shower.
Overall, probably not a bad place to stay if you are working in the area for a few weeks and want something roughly affordable. But for almost $200 a night, I expected alot more. Also, there is a $10 parking charge, which makes no sense because it's all self-park and there's no shortage of parking spaces.
Have stayed at much nicer RI than this, and no discredit to the Marriott family of hotels, but this one feels more like a Super 8 or something. The owners should consider either lowering the price, or putting serious investment into overhauling the property. At least for the price we paid, there should have been a complimentary breakfast or something.
Will not stay here again, at least not for convenience.
Location
No hot water. I could not shower
I called the front desk twice to resolve the issue with negative results.
I rarely leave negative reviews, but this stay was disappointing on multiple levels. The hotel feels dilapidated and poorly maintained, far below what I expect from a Residence Inn.
Our two‑bedroom suite for four people was stocked with only two towels, and the front desk told us they had run out. That alone would have been frustrating, but the hot water was out for an entire day, making showers impossible anyway.
The room itself had several issues:
• Uncomfortable beds that felt worn out
• No body wash in the shower—just two bottles of conditioner
• A toilet paper holder literally falling off the wall
• General wear and tear that made the space feel neglected
Even the amenities were lacking. The fitness room had only 10‑lb dumbbells and then nothing until 30 lbs, which makes it basically unusable for most people.
Overall, this property needs serious attention and investment. For the price and the Marriott name, the experience was far below expectations. I would not stay here again until the hotel addresses these basic maintenance and service issues.
I’ve stayed here many times when I visit for work. It’s quiet, clean, easy to get in and out of. I like the kitchen in the room. The breakfast is adequate - I usually get the yogurt and a pice of fruit. I don’t care for powdered eggs or waffles.
The printer never works so don’t plan on printing a boarding pass. I stay here often, will stay again and would recommend.
As a titanium elite member of 9 years, with one more night left to hit ambassador level, I feel I have noteworthy experience and expectations of Marriott hotels. This location gives the brand a bad name. First off all, I had 8 upgrades left to use and submitted the request for this hotel. I was told there were no upgrade rooms available. (Hold that thought as it becomes relevant later). I chose to pay for the “unavailable” room that if you paid out of pocket was “available”. Upon checking in, wow… see pictures. Hotel felt worse than a 1 star hotel. The cushions and armrests on the couches and chairs were worn down, the curtains looked like they’d been chewed up by rats, bullet holes in the walls, stains on the walls and floors, hair ball in the towel, and overall just felt icky. It was late so we covered thing up and made due. In the morning, the breakfast eggs had some green in it so we chose to not eat. On top of that the heat didn’t work. We got moved to another “available” 2 bedroom, and that room was just as bad but this time the TV didn’t work (internet didn’t work in that room). We decided to stick it out but compared to the other 96 rooms stayed at this year, this one was the worst. I also added quotes because when I spoke to management, they said they had no 2 bedroom suites available so they couldn’t honor my membership upgrades. Somehow the two (2 bedroom) suites I was given, must have miraculously appeared.
location, and size of the room
couple of items looking old, like the sofa had stained, room painting also look old, the air conditioner looks old
I liked the location, but the place was very run down.
The place was run down and needs an upgrade. everything is old and beaten up. bad plumbing, carpet, furniture. bed.
Great amount of space for the price. Nice quiet little setting.
the breakfast was really underwhelming. But, it was free so as long as you temper your expectations it's fine.
