Candlewood Suites-West Springfield by IHG

Comfortable and quiet. The facilities were moderately well taken care of apart from the gym.

We were staying here to go to Six Flags. For this price point, the rooms are fine with full kitchens (full size fridge, two burner stove, dish/silverware setting for 4 people, cooking knives, mixing bowls, microwave, coffee pot, toaster, and a smallish saucepan and pot with lid. all sufficient for simple meals). There is also a Blackstone grill outside which we mostly used for cooking and an appliance library if you need a blender, fan, etc.. The seating had a recliner and a couple of chairs so with four people you are taking turns with the chairs. The beds are small (doubles) for two people but they were very comfortable. No issues at all with the beds. The rooms definitely show wear (chipped paint, scuffing, hasty repairs, etc.) but nothing was broken or not-functioning. The pool was an odd color (reflection from the paint choice maybe?) but the hot tub was hot and bubbly and the main pool refreshing but not quite big enough for a serious swim. There were some things that we had hoped for that were not available. I had asked in advance for adjacent or same floor rooms since we were two families with kids and that wasn't available. Similarly, we had asked for a 2 PM check out and it wasn't available either. We had received some conflicting information from the staff as well. The key cards were demagnetizing frequently, they need to upgrade the door locks. I did not see a safe in my room, which I kind of wanted since it is still West Springfield and there is a general feel of sketchiness in the area. There are a lot of contract workers and long term guests here. We didn't have any issues with any of the other guests and the few we talked to were nice. The wifi was strong - I was able to work outside at the table - but I don't think it worked in the pool area. There is an IHOP next door if you don't want to cook.

The pool

The bed was very soft & comfortable. The kitchen had new & stocked kitchenware. Convenient location to several restaurants, shopping stores, casino, theater.

The room was nice, the bed was comfortable, and the dove products.

Nothing pool was merky clearly not balanced at all staff was rude to my guess but when i appeared found common sense ended my daughters party and hid when we were leaving my party was quiet while millions of kids ran wild with out being kicked out!

I enjoyed my stay at Candlewood Suites-West Springfield by IHG. It was perfect for our one night stay. Nice facility and pleasant staff. I enjoyed the free coffee.
