Lovely grounds
Room very small
Peaceful location and very friendly attentive staff
Good ambience
Wonderful setting.
Slippery getting in and out of the shower. Could use a walk in shower
Everything. The location, the staff, the calmness, beauty etc
Didn’t notice anything
Friendly staff, close to the Milton Keyes Bowl.
The bed was not comfortable, the duvet and pillows were flat and lifeless.
Well looked after by the young man on reception, he couldn’t do enough for us. The room was clean and very comfortable with a nice outlook. The furnishings were all very nice throughout the hotel and also comfortable furniture to sit outside.
We ordered the lamb dinner which came with nice mashed potatoes but the carrots and butter beans were frozen, I would have preferred fresh vegetables. I thought the breakfast was over priced so chose not to have it.
the stuff is friendly - the car park was large and free - close to a pub walking distance.
The initial room I was allocated had a strange smell - reception was great and allocated a new room to us - the new room clearly was no inspected before new guests - the bin was full of contact lenses and toenails. The breakfast was not great - very limited options and more English fried breakfast then fresh.
Great hotel - feels very homely - clean and lovely staff

Reception and delays
Attractive Manor House with character. Beautifully decorated interior spaces/room. Excellent breakfast with a huge variety of choice
Chairs in bar area too low for the tables especially if eating/snacking. Poor quality coffee from machine at breakfast.
Liked the outside and the front of the house
I didn’t like the bathrooms, side of bathtub was coming away and few bits need updating in the rooms, didn’t like the breakfast, went cold quick and bacon was soggy and not crispy. Only eat there once in the two days of staying. They came to do the room and didn’t give us any clean cups or extra coffees but when I asked at reception it was no trouble to get us some.
Everything was spot on.
bed was comfy.
our bathroom had hair all over it. there is no plug sockets next to the bed, the shower was either boiling hot or freezing cold, there is no sockets in front of mirrors for getting ready for the day, the bathroom light was constantly flickering, no bath mat so getting out straight onto slippery tile. no phone for calling to reception but a menu in the drawer? for an accessible room there was nothing convenient or accessible about it. room was also not ready upon arrival.
It was a beautiful setting , very relaxing
The room was, as expected from the website, very good and the breakfast excellent. The staff, without exception, were friendly, polite and helpful.
Beautiful old building in a great location. Comfy bed in a spacious room
When we arrived we couldn't get in our room until 1hr after check in time.we wasn't the only ones. Seemed like it was very chaotic as was breakfast
Location
Quiet.
Fridge in bedroom.
Small details. No drawers/ shelves for clothes in room.
No marmalade or hot plates for cooked breakfast. Different milk options not labelled.
