the breakfast was very excellent . strategic location .
Location. Good buffet breakfast, but needs more variety. Sauna is great and free x pool. Location great as green market right out front, with a laundry, bookseller, church and mini marts right there. A variety of restaurants within a few blocks.
Pool, but no shade. Phone didn’t work entire time despite asking multiple times. Front desk gave wrong info but Tamarind was on the spot to sort things out. Too much deep fried food on both restaurant dinner menu and at breakfast (also stop spraying so much seed oil on Teflon pans). Bedding was so heavy with heavy cotton duvets..in the tropics. Shower is thin water in the a.m………

The breakfast selection was good and tasty. The hotel was also in a central location, near a lot of restaurants and not too far from main attractions like the V&A Waterfront.
I had requested for a double bed but they gave us twin beds. The rooms are also a little on the older side but still clean.
It’s cheap
The prostitutes and homeless outside yelling all night and noisy traders and their gear.
Staff try their best. Didn't realise that several on the front desk are students on placement. Very keen and friendly .
On the morning of the Cape Town marathon they had kindly laid out bananas, energy bars and drinks which was welcome.
My room when I was changed was comfortable , with a good bed and a room with a fridge and microwave.
There is noise either from the market directly outside, or pumping music from a nearby venue some nights. But nothing good wax ear plugs from the pharmacy round the corner won't sort. I wore them every night.
Some of the pictures don't really resemble the reality - such as the sauna , which is a sadly neglected paint peeling space. If you ask them, and they remember , they will switch it on for you.
That was part of the problem here - requests take time. Breakfast ? Running out of spoons - yesterday glasses - and two coffee machines which struggle to manage.
I could never truly relax , as I felt I was always having to ask for something or complain. I felt bad, but had to remind myself I was paying for the week.
The doors seem old, and the locking systems in need of an overhaul. Every day my door card didn't work.
From reviews, this seems a long standing issue.
The desk manager was excellent , but I sadly would not stay here again much as the staff were lovely.
Someone is making money here, as the hotel seemed full virtually every night.
But the place needs TLC badly.
Being pushed out of the room on the checkout day, that was rude.
Bardzo przyzwoity hotel, w samym sercu Cape Town, przy ryneczku, gdzie codziennie do godz. 18:00 odbywał się targ z rekodziełem i pamiatkami. Blisko do kantoru wymianu walut (po wyjsciu z hotelu w prawo, do głonej ulicy, przejśc na drufgą strone i w sklepie z lokalnymi produktami jest kantor). Ta ulica tez ma wiele sklepów i barów. Sam hotel przyjemny, fajna i miła obsługa, bardzo fajne śniadania. Po Kapsztadzie najlepiej poruszac sie uberem, tani i szybki sposó. My nawet zamówiliśmy ubera na Przylądek Dobrej Nadziej (60km). Kierowca od razu powiedział , że tam z powrotem nie ma jak zamówić ubera, wieć zaproponował , że poczeka na nas i wróci z nami (po drodze jeszcze wstąpilismy na plaże z pingwinami/płatna/ i na plaże z mnóstwem surferów. Kapsztad to bardzo przyjazne miasto z mnóstwem turystów (szzcególnie w Waterfront). Nie ma co porównywać do ponurego, bez ludzi na ulicach Johanesburga.

The Hotel was really a treat. We are locals and celebrated our 3rd anniversary at the Hotel. It was a lovely time spending time there. The room was clean and tidy. And we loved how well the curtains were blocked out. So we could sleep in a little late. Was amazing. We will definitely come to visit again.
