Amenity Fee Scam
Pros:

We stayed at the Marqueen and booked through booking.com. My booking.com confirmation confirmed that the final price included all taxes and fees. Upon checkout, they wanted to charge us an additional $25 a night for their “amenity fee,” which would be taken out of our incidental deposit. I’ve never heard of an additional fee upon checkout out, especially when my confirmation said my final price included all taxes and fees. This is a scam. Luckily, we were able to call booking.com and they confirmed with the hotel that they had already received the full amount owed, so we were not charged. I saw other people checking out, having the same issue.

Great stay!
Pros:

Absolutely wonderful boutique hotel with nice staff. Would stay here again, simply because it felt special and not cookie-cutter. Shout out to staff Jeremiah, Josh, Andrew and Alasan for the help during our stay. Parking was valet only, which was a new experience, but if you don't like that, and the fact that there's no elevator, perhaps not the place for you. Theres only a few floors and Bell man offers help to carry your luggage up. Did I mention it's stunning? And for a coffee geek, to be welcomed with a Fellow Stagg Kettle in the room, was just about all I needed. It's an older building , much like some Fairmonts, no bathroom exhaust. What else... you should give it a try!

If you book online, beware of shenanigans
Pros:

We paid in full online, then during checking we were asked for a card for hold for "incidentals".
After we left, the hold never fell off but was turned into an "amenity fee" claiming that the online price didn't include this, while booking.com said it includes all fees and taxes. We never authorized the incidental cards to be charged any fees. Check your cards if you stay here!

Btw, for amenities, they have none, The only water dispenser is at the reception with no elevators in the building.

Good option in Queen Anne
Pros:

Room was large. Bed was comfortable. Valet staff were nice. Close to a great breakfast spot and connected to a cafe.

Cons:

It’s an older building. We had a large room on the main floor. Minimal natural light and view so it felt dark.

additional $25 amenity for wifi that is already free. this fee should be in total cost of hotel..nickel & dime you
Pros:

The hotel was nice. The staff was friendly. What I did not care for was the preposterous $25 mandatory fee that is charged in addition to the room charge. Seems like a nickel and dime scheme. You pay $140 for a room and upon check out you have to pay a $25 "amenity" fee which includes bottled water that was never offered, in-room coffee, use of their wi-fi, use of their rotary phone, baked cookies in the lobby (if you are lucky to get any.) Amenities fees designed to enhance your overall experience "they say." Aren't these fees standard to a hotel stay? On Expedia it says under the room "free wi-fi" but yet it is part of the mandatory fee. Add the fee to the room amount and don't make me fee like you are nickel and diming me. It really rubbed me the wrong way. Maybe that is the way Seattle is, but I won't be staying there again! Find another hotel.

A real disappointment, especially considering the $400+ per night for 4 nights we needed.
Pros:

They did provide a 1PM shuttle van for guests traveling to Pier 96 and the Queen Elizabeth II. The in-house "Tin Lizzie" bar was good for snacks.

Cons:

We arrived tired and hungry (2.5 hour tarmac delay out of JFK) late in the evening (10PM) to find there was no elevator, had to carry our luggage up two flights of stairs. We are "seniors". They directed us to a questionable "Mecca Cafe", bar a block away. Bad food, worse service. Cannabis smoke in the air (everywhere).
This is a 1918 partially renovated hotel and the floor in our room was incredibly squeaky (Room 220), lighting was inadequate and there were NO hangers in the strange little room that housed a closet pole. (We came for 4 nights, from NY, with formal wear: tuxedo, long silk dress, for a family wedding in the Magnolia District and a day with the new in-laws & family in Medina). My daughter & husband switched to our hotel the second day and moved a third time after just one night.
