Excellent location. Easy walk to seattle center and bars and restaurants on Queen Ann
It’s a historic building with interesting room layouts which is quirky and fun but the floors are way too squeaky
Ryan was so kind and helpful during check in. The attached cafe was delightful. The entire building was so charismatic!
Unprepared for the no elevator situation but it was fine!
They did provide a 1PM shuttle van for guests traveling to Pier 96 and the Queen Elizabeth II. The in-house "Tin Lizzie" bar was good for snacks.
We arrived tired and hungry (2.5 hour tarmac delay out of JFK) late in the evening (10PM) to find there was no elevator, had to carry our luggage up two flights of stairs. We are "seniors". They directed us to a questionable "Mecca Cafe", bar a block away. Bad food, worse service. Cannabis smoke in the air (everywhere).
This is a 1918 partially renovated hotel and the floor in our room was incredibly squeaky (Room 220), lighting was inadequate and there were NO hangers in the strange little room that housed a closet pole. (We came for 4 nights, from NY, with formal wear: tuxedo, long silk dress, for a family wedding in the Magnolia District and a day with the new in-laws & family in Medina). My daughter & husband switched to our hotel the second day and moved a third time after just one night.

Gorgeous interior design
Parking was difficult is not using valet, one night when valet wasn’t available and the car was needed
Bien placé et mignon
Fantastic customer service. So friendly. Nothing too much for them. Room was absolutely brilliant. Personal touches for our special occasion too.
The renovation is wonderful. I've stayed there before and after the reno. Its like a totally new hotel now. Very pleased and will certainly be back.
It is an attractive historic hotel, and for its age it is well maintained and clean. The staff was outstanding and very helpful and friendly. The bathroom fixtures have been upgraded (see photo). However, the towels provided looked like moths had decided they could eat cotton (see photo). And then I have an issue with their description of a "corner" room, with a view of the Space Needle. It may be the room closest to the corner of the building, but it's NOT on the corner. There is a stairwell between the room and the corner so its view is just like any other hallway room (see photo). Yes I could see the Space Needle, but only if I stood at the far right of the window farthest to the right in the room and looked as far left as I could (see photo). It's the misleading description/advertising that left me feeling taken advantage of. I paid $60 extra for a "corner room" that really wasn't.
Staff were friendly and helpful.
The decor was beautiful and thoughtful.
The room was large and comfortable.
A coffee shop and bar conveniently accessed through the lobby.
Parking was easy
We enjoyed our experience at this small hotel.
The stay held promise. Staff was friendly. Rooms are nice (albeit a little noisy).
Unfortunately my car was damaged by the valet staff but they wouldn't take responsibility. I wouldn't state this if I wasn't 100% confident they caused the damage, as the car was in my possession at all other times and never parked where this type of damage would have occurred and it's consistent with scraping against a wall or pillar. Unfortunately I didn't see the damage when the car was brought out to me as it was dark (short days late November). The manager said their mandatory inspections would have caught it, but I certainly wasn't made aware of, or involved in any inspections and we used the valet multiple times.
Accidents happen, but to not own up to it is another level of disappointment.
It's a lesson for all to not be trusting, take pictures before and after and hopefully you'll get staff with integrity.
