It’s fine - feels dated
Great location with a lovely spacious room. The staff at reception were really helpful and friendly. It's a great location, easy to walk to all the major sights.
Particularly enjoyed having a separate dressing area from the bedroom, and soaking tub was a great way to unwind after a day's sightseeing.
Lots of good coffee places and restaurants within easy walking distance.
Woudl stay again
Quality
Nice
Everything was fancy
Staff , location , food , rooms
Construction was going on
Great location, excellent room and wonderful experience! Location is in the heart of everything and at the same time, on a quiet part of Wellington so it doesn't feel crowded and overwhelming. It was exceptionally cold during my stay and so appreciated being within walking distance of places like The Well or the fact that everything was a short ride away. Would love to come back during the summer months as this is a great place to explore the city from.
First time in my life that I stay at a hotel and they don’t make up the room. A two-night stay and, even though I complained, they didn’t care and still didn’t clean it despite my request. The sauna didn’t work in the middle of winter, which was the amenity that made me choose this hotel. At the hotel restaurant, there was absolutely no minimum level of customer service. In summary, the overall service experience was terrible.
The lobby was under construction, but the staff's friendliness made up for it. The bed was very comfortable, but the room felt too small for the price. The room service breakfast ordered was good, and the staff was excellent.
The heated bathroom floors were a nice touch.
Belle hôtel chambre spacieuse
Il y avais de la construction si non tout était parfait
The photos in the ads are very misleading. This is a very old and dated property that should not be considered anything close to luxury.
Even though I unfortunately couldn’t stay at Soho Hotel due to a severe snowstorm in Canada, I still want to leave a review—because the service and professionalism I received deserve recognition.
From the very beginning, the team member I dealt with was extremely professional, proactive, and genuinely customer-oriented. They immediately understood the situation, handled everything with the right tone, and worked with me to reorganize the stay in the best possible way, taking into account the unexpected circumstances. In the end, I had to cancel my entire trip, but the support I received made a stressful situation much easier to manage.
The only suggestion I would make is to introduce a WhatsApp customer service option. Many guests use it daily, and it would allow faster, more direct communication without relying only on email—especially when travel disruptions happen.
Even without staying on property, I can confidently recommend Soho Hotel for its great service mindset, strong value for money, and central Toronto location.
Large sized room for a city centre hotel. Super bath room and Molton Brown toiletries. Staff were efficient and great location with lots on your door stop. Beware taxes when you check out! Added an additional x5 taxes equating to over 20% of the room cost making it very expensive for what it was
Clean and beautiful
The hotel was really close to our event and easily accessible.
The parking was not cheap
