Hôtel atypique au bord du Pacifique
Pros:

Hôtel très bien situé au bord du Pacifique, couloir extérieur et petit patio avec vue sur la mer, en bois, inspiration chalet.
Accueil très sympa, petit déjeuner inclus.
Parking souterrain avec ascenseur donnant directement aux étages de l’hôtel.
Jacuzzi dans la chambre qui est très grande, tout le confort d’une chambre aux US

Didn’t meet our expectations.
Pros:

It was clean.

Cons:

Jacuzzi was out of order, ice machine was broken, isolation was not good, even with closed windows the traffic noise was horrible. We have stayed at Best Western Plus hotels in several locations and we have always enjoyed our stay, not this time.

Great location and experience.
Pros:

Overall experience was great. Breakfast was freshly cooked on a griddle outside. Great location from the beach. Parking garage is on the smaller side but we were able to park just fine in our SUV.

Cons:

Our room was not ready at check in causing us to wait around about an hour.

Pros:

Nice breakfast, location is across the beach

Cons:

It's right next to the railroad. The trains were coming all night making a lot of noise. Also the mattress foundation was very squeaky. I couldn't sleep at all because of all the noise

All around great hotel with a few minor things to note
Pros:

It was in a very good location, a great hotel in a great location when you come on a budget, want a place close enough to the beach see it from the hotel and to walk there in a reasonable amount of time. The breakfast was nothing spectacular but it was very good, clean dining room with plenty of outdoor seating with clear ocean views. The staff were nonetheless amazing. They were accommodating, let me get coffee during the day from the diner, and were quick to let me into the jacuzzi when I asked.

I loved the room lighting, one flip for bright lights, two flips for dim lights. What a clever system!

Cons:

The things worth noting are or less out of the hotels direct control, but good to know for your general info. Parking is free but it is limited and the garage is tight. If you are coming with an SUV or truck, come early. Customers will park their truck in two spaces marked for compacts forcing people left with no space elsewhere to find parking. If you booked on a busy night and have a late arrival, plan on parking elsewhere.

The location is a classic yes, but situation.
Yes the hotel is across the street from the beach, but it is still a fair walk to get to it as you need to walk across railway tracks to get there. Even then the beach is steep and rocky (to cut down on erosion) which limits swimming. Nonetheless swimmable beaches like Laguna or other sites are within easy driving distance. The closest sand beach within walking distance is 20 minutes walking towards Dana point. It's not a bad and you can watch the waves the whole way. Trains run often which are fun to watch if you are an enthusiast or have kids with you.

Awesome views and great weather!
Pros:

Staff were very pleasant and the room was really clean. The balcony on the second floor had a great view of the ocean where we enjoyed our coffee and hot delicious breakfast provided at the hotel. Thank you!

Cons:

The matress was a bit hard, but we slept just fine.

Spacious and sparkling new
Pros:

The location was close to the harbor. The room was very spacious and included a kitchenette. I was traveling with 2 friends and it was perfect size. We got off season rate. The front desk manager was really nice.
