Andaman Seaview Hotel

We fortunately only stayed here 3 nights of our 21 night stay across Thailand. This hotel is very dated our bathroom was awful. We went down for breakfast one morning and there was blood all over the cushions ! The only plus side I can give this hotel is its location to the beach! I wouldn't want to stay here again !

I want to write an honest review about the hotel to help someone in the future.

What I didn’t like about this hotel was the problem with the shower. The water starts hot but turns cold after a few seconds. I think there might be a broken pipe somewhere in the bathroom because we always had water there. The room was clean, and we received bottled water every day when they cleaned it.

The restaurant offered a nice breakfast, but for lunch or dinner, the menu was very limited, so there wasn’t much to choose from. We were on the fourth floor, and there was no sea view at all because of the large tree nearby. I’m not sure if the rooms on the other side of the hotel are different, but most of the rooms are on the same side as mine.

The staff was super nice and always helpful. The beach is very close to the hotel (just a 1-2 minute walk), and there are plenty of shops, restaurants, and small pubs around the hotel.

Starting in October, they began asking for a deposit of 3000 baht (around £70), which can only be paid in cash. I mention this because no one informed us about the deposit, so I think it's good to know in advance.

They have a very small gym, which I would say is only good for older people looking to exercise a bit , swimming pool it’s small and no deep at all (1.3M) and pool bar was closed maybe because it wasn’t the best weather .Overall, I would say the hotel is quite old and needs some improvement. I expected more when I booked it, but it was still a good experience. 😊

Absolutely fantastic hotel! Beautiful,clean friendly hotel.staff are great,rooms are huge and comfortable. When we arrived,they kindly upgraded our room to deluxe,and deluxe it was.Breakfast is great too with a huge choice of everything you could ask for. Two pools and lovely lounging area with a swim up pool. No negative at all,loved I! Great location too!

This is not a 4 star. The location is good, stone throw from the beach and restaurants.
Bathroom has damp on the walls. None of the doors close properly, including the main door!
Balcony lacks security, people can walk on to it from the pool.
Rooms are dated. Aircon unit is dirty.
We didn’t spend much time here thankfully.
They also ask for 3000bht cash deposit

10 days at The Andeman Seaview Hotel as part of a multi centre package. Our first time to Thailand so didn't know what to expect. 1 hr from the airport, quick check in, 4th floor room was large and over looked the pool. Although the hotel is quite tired in places, especially the bathroom, it was spotless. Comfy bed lovely white linen & towels. So many extras such as a wicker beach bag, 2 umbrellas, robes, slippers, a torch and lots of really good quality toiletries. Breakfast was the usual hot / cold, eggs,cereal, fruit, salad, breads, pastries. Repetitious but all fresh & tasty. The coffee from a machine was surprisingly good. 2 pools, again in need of a little tlc but loads of beds & shade available. Walking distance to kata & karon with bus stop to Phuket & Kamala opposite hotel. Loads of food & drink for all tastes. Staff were all super friendly and helpful. Small bar for beer, water, soft drinks, ice creams very reasonable prices. Only ate in 1 evening as we had a free meal voucher and it was average.
Only thing I felt were missing, no full length mirror, no shaving/magnifying mirror, hair dryer but no socket near (Only ) mirror in room, balcony door didn't lock, inadequate lighting, not enough coat hangers and no drawers.
I would definitely recommend this hotel, it's not super luxury but the little touches and positioning make it a good sound choice.

Great location right across from Karon Beach. The staff were lovely, breakfast was tasty, and although the rooms are a bit dated, they were spotless. I’d happily stay here again.

We stayed in a deluxe room on the top floor and it was very spacious and clean. The staff throughout the hotel are exceptional!!
Always so friendly and attentive to help with whatever you may need.
The people on breakfast duty are lovely and I enjoyed seeing their smiling faces first thing in the mornings.
The pools are refreshing and the maintenance staff are always cleaning the pool and surrounds.
Everyone here works so hard to make your stay comfortable and memorable!
We have enjoyed our home for 2 weeks and will miss it.
This hotel is Definitely great value for money and a great location to walk to nearby shops, restaurants and of course the beach is only across the road. We have a motorbike and there is plenty of parking just at the front.
Our absolute favourite thing is the staff though!

We had the absolute best time at Andaman Seaview, it totally exceeded our expectations. The location is great, around 100 metres from the beach along a quiet street. We had a lovely view of the sea from our balcony. The room is huge, we were in a family room with two big double beds and a separate lounge-living room area. The bathroom was probably the biggest we've had at a hotel, with a huge tub, a separate shower and a double sink. The pool was great, and the buffet breakfast was delicious with lots of Asian and western options, eggs made on request, bacon, lots of tasty pastries, etc. The staff were fantastic, from the front desk, to the pool area, everyone was very helpful and professional, and just lovely. We were very impressed and are looking forward to coming back. Thanks so much!

While the staff was friendly and accomodating, the property and rooms are badly in need of upkeep and maintenance. Mould, wood rot, layers of paint, telephones that don't work, faulty plumbing were all part of what we experience. there were areas I felt unsafe walking on. Breakfast was fine and service on the whole was good.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for the third time, because we really liked it. One of its most obvious advantages is its location: the gorgeous and beloved Karon Beach is across the road, there are many markets, pharmacies, massage parlors, cafes with live music and shops around. The beautiful Kata Beach is also within walking distance. For entertainment, there is a wonderful mini-golf "Dinopark" nearby.
The hotel itself leaves a very pleasant impression thanks to the attentive staff, cleanliness, cozy quiet area with two large swimming pools and good breakfasts (fresh fruits, vegetables, tea, coffee, juices, milk, cereals, porridge, toast, omelets and more). The room and bathroom have everything you need (shampoo, shower gel, hair dryer, towels, toilet paper, etc.), I especially liked the body lotion with a wonderful aroma. Beach towels are available at reception.
There is one small inconvenience - check-in is not earlier than 15:00 (despite early flights and other special cases), but your patience is usually rewarded with a pleasant, clean and cool room.
Special thanks to the staff for their calm, peaceful and attentive attitude to clients of completely different types, conditions and moods.

This is an excellent hotel located in a quiet area of Ao Nang with impressive garden, pools and seaview from the upper floor rooms. The rooms were spacious and clean. We had a fifth floor rooms in the older part of the hotel. All the amenities were present including a pool towels, safe, fridge, kettle as well as an iron. Good sized comfortable bed. Large balcony. Umbrellas provided for the frequent rainfalls. Amazing breakfast with plenty of choice and an egg station. Amazing breakfast staff led by Sal(sorry if name misspelled). Lots of restaurants, shops and massage places on the doorstep. Both beaches within walking distance. Thanks to Eugene, Dave, Krisha, Chet and Nofi. Would definitely recommend.

Bum Hole. Yes, like a bum hole but you won’t know where you are until you’re inside. Then you get constipated . Well you have paid in advance so now you have to stay.

What a lovely stay at Andaman Seaview. The breakfasts are lovely with a selection suitable for all . Rooms are spacious, tea and coffee making facilities, comfortable beds, efficient housekeeping, friendly staff throughout, absolutely loved our time here and with a 5 minute stroll into Kata you get the best of 2 resorts so close together. The beach is wonderful and across the road so very close, 7-11 a close 5 min walk round the side of the hotel. Would definitely recommend.

I actually hated this hotel and moved out after one night! How they can consider themselves 4* is a joke. The pool tiles are missing grout and are very sharp, the pool bar is non existent , the spa was closed, the wifi was poor, the TV didn’t work, the shower was always cold, the breakfast was poor and I couldn’t even drink the coffee, there are towels all over the floor soaking up floods, and the place was full of flies and pigeons. Not a place I wished to spend my holiday and so I left.

Overall a fairly good stay at the Andaman seaview hotel. We kindly got upgraded from a superior room to a suite on the top floor which overlooked the smaller pool (435) very large room, one side had sofas, table and chairs, fridge area, other had large bed, dressing room and bathroom, large balcony also.

Staff are very polite and helpful. Zin, who worked the morning shift around breakfast was very nice, polite and always made us feel welcome!

Good points:
Breakfast was fairly good and plenty of choice.
Free pool/beach towels every day
Bottles of water provided in the room every day along with maid who cleaned, made beds etc every day
Location, very close to beach and restaurants.
Two pools however only used the main pool which snaked around the ground floor rooms and restaurant.
Gardens and pool area well looked after.
Overall cleanliness of the hotel was very good.

Bad points:
Furniture around restaurant and other parts of hotel tired and dated.
Few teething problems with room, no hot water, key card not always working, phone not working to call reception - that being said when we reported problems they were felt with straight away.
Pigeons - the hotel does have a problem with them. Poo everywhere on the balconies and around smaller pool. You couldn’t sit outside and eat breakfast otherwise they would attack both the plates and food

Pool towels provided daily
The only complaints we have are the pools need re tiling and the bridge is unsafe & the very rude Russian guests (not all but most)
other than that we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would stay again

Our room was amazing, biggest I’ve ever stayed in. Staff were so helpful and friendly. Breakfast was plentiful location was great for getting around. Extras in the room made a big difference the decor was beautiful. We only stayed 1 week before moving on to Khao lak and we were very sad to leave. Think the lady in front desk is called eujean sorry about the spelling xx hotel andaman thank you so much

Apart from low shower pressure (which was mostly because water pressure was low inarea, i cant think of a thing to complain about.
And the staff was helpful and kind and always greeted tou with a smile.

We had the best holiday ever at the Andaman in Karon... Such a wonderful pool, staff, brekkie and so close to the beach. Plenty of food places around the corner...Would happily recommend to anyone and cannot wait to go back!
