Pros:

The staff was very attentive and helpful. The grounds and garden are absolutely beautiful and it is a quiet location just as we had hoped. The hotel has very comfortable bar and sitting areas. The location is perfect for visiting St. Andrews. We traveled with another couple and enjoyed being able to relax in a quiet area at the end of the day.

Quirky and heartwarming hotel with high quality food
Pros:

Impressive gardens, beautiful breakfast, comfortable rest areas snd the bar. All is tastefully decorated in old Scottish style. Lovely details, such as homemade shortcrust biscuits and Dualit toaster, cute letter written to our dog.

Cons:

There was a tiny fridge in our cabin, hard to find sockets and not enough hooks and shelves. The cabin meant to be suitable for the guests with the dog and still the lion share of it was occupied by a pretty, but not really relevant bathtub, which is maybe more suitable for the honeymoon suite, than a cabin

Excellent relaxing stay.
Pros:

Hotel was in a good location for St Andrews and Dundee. Food for dinner and breakfast was very good with excellent service. Joseph who worked in the bar was particularly helpful and knowledgeable about whiskey, a passion of his.

Cons:

Cannot think of anything.
