-The room had been updated and was pleasant
- staff member at check in was helpful and friendly
- bath was a lovely size
-Air conditioning didn’t work.
-Blinds didn’t go all the way down and so the room was very bright and meant we were awake early.
-Shower smelt drainy
-No luxury amenities despite the fact we were in an upgraded room.
-We were charged an additional early check in fee on departure despite no one mentioning this would be the case despite speaking and emailing numerous people to request this.
-hotel under renovation and areas which hadn’t been updated are run down.
- no water in the room and then when getting ready to leave noticed a small note which said you could call reception for water—- why not just put in the room!
- sofa had a stain on it.
- felt really quite basic, not worth the money and would not stay there again.

Beautiful historic building. The room was large and clean (thanks James) with a very comfortable bed.
Free parking.
Unfortunately, there's no air conditioning, but the room did have a fan. We stayed on an extremely hot day and at night, with the window open and the fan on, we were comfortable.
Hotel molto caratteristico in stile inglese, pulito confortevole, veramente a due passi dal centro, possibilità di cenare in struttura, anche con opzioni gluten free, pizza buona , camera silenziosa di buone dimensioni.
Staff cortese che ha cercato di aiutarci con le difficoltà della lingua.

Es gibt neue renovierte Zimmer und denn noch alten Teil, wir hatten Glück und wir bekamen mit unserem Hund ein neues Zimmer. Leider gibt es Hunde die nicht stubenrein sind und das sah man dem recht neuen Teppich leider an. Schön ist der neue Barbereich, man kann nur hoffen, dass der Rest auch so gut wird
Der Augenblick ist ungepflegt und lieblos. Im Brunnen läuft eine Pumpe aber es ist kein Wasser drin. Es gibt Tische draußen mit Stühlen ohne Polster, keinen Sonnenschirm und dreckige Tische. Das Restaurant hat keine Fenster und gleicht einem Schul Landheim.

Ouwe versleten boel in een prachtig pand met stijlkenmerken. De herrie s’nachts van de afzuiging aan de achterkant van het gebouw. Houten vloeren waardoor geluid van bovenburen. Verwaarloosde tuin zowel voor als achterzijde van het gebouw.

I liked the old and modern feel to the rooms really loved the designs. We had a good view of the front as well as decent sized double room with a good bathroom, not to far location from all the local amenities.
Nothing urgent sprung to mind apart from the ventilation wasn’t working in the room so the staff equipped us with a fan so quite enjoyed my stay.
We got a parking spot right by the entrance.
Finding it was difficult as there was no visible signage.
Room was lovely, better than expected. Bathroom was lovely, reception staff great and friendly and very quick to help with anything you need. Great base location to walk into Canterbury high street. Shame it did not have aircon as we stayed in the recent heatwave. Quirky volumn button in the bathroom which we thought would be for a radio but it was for the TV
No aircon, one window in room would not open. We had to enquiry about room cleaning as we did not realise they only do it when you request it, unfortunately we had to ask for a sheet for the bed and a fan as not in the room but the hotel was lovely. Not big issues really.
