Nice
Thumbs up
It was a lovely 2 bedroom suite. Thank you for a wonderful stay. The mattress was very comfortable.
Amazing place
Beautiful
The most unforgettable part of staying here is the stunning natural beauty all around you. The mountains and green trees feel like a postcard come to life. A highlight was the Tram, just a 5–10 minute walk from the hotel, that takes you up to the historic Olympic station from the 1960 Winter Olympics. The scenery at the top is breathtaking, and the food there was delicious — definitely worth staying for lunch.
The village itself feels like a little slice of Europe. Everything you need is within walking distance: cozy cafés, pizza, gourmet dining with wine and views, ice cream for kids, souvenir shops, big sports brands, and even an Irish pub. You can simply take the elevator down from your fully furnished room with its own stunning view and step right into the heart of it all.
I visited in summer with my mom and daughter, and we loved every moment. The staff were wonderful, especially one young woman who was so friendly. They even upgraded our room when they learned it was my first vacation with my mom in years — such a kind gesture.
The only challenge was the very tall beds. For shorter guests or those with knee problems, climbing up can be difficult. Taller people will love them, but it’s something to keep in mind.
If you visit in summer, don’t miss kayaking or rafting in Truckee (10 minutes away) or Kings Beach (20 minutes). There are hidden gems everywhere. Overall, this hotel is a must-go — the perfect mix of nature, charm, and warm hospitality.
Always a treat to stay here! Friendly staff, nice rooms and great views. We’ll be back soon.
I wanted to check out the north side of Tahoe before heading to our stay in Southlake Tahoe. The room was fine, but a bit dated. Palisades was rather on the quiet side on this day, August 27. The view was incredible throughout the village. Our overall impression was good enough that we will return in the spring of 2026.
.
Great stay! Exceptionally clean, nice staff.
I love this hotel! Right in the center of Squaw Valley; a quick walk to restaurants and bars, or out into nature. The staff is friendly, and my wife was very happy to be there. All in all great place that we'd be happy to go back to.
It would have been great if we are greeted with a friendly staff. It doesn’t seem like they want to work for this place hence gives a negative vibe.
The room we received were a bit tucked in and it would have been awesome if the tiny little tree branches were cut off to showcase the view of the mountains.
Everything was great except that there were a lot of things that didn’t work on condo 421. Tge DVD, fireplace, etc
We were upgraded at check-in which was very appreciated. Overall, unit was in good shape and the location and amenities were great.
We like everything because it was very accessible to everything
The place is absolutely beautiful. Nothing to complain about that. I brought my daughter for a getaway trip for the summer. It was nice enough we got an upgrade. However, I was not aware of the resort fee. It was never mentioned when I book the room. I went back to check details on the description but there is no way to be found from hotels.com that mentioned resort fee. Was disappointed about that.
Front desk xlnt. Hotel is under construction....remodelling. Avoid unless you are aware of this and pay no more than $50 a night.
Resort atmosphere. Uncrowded and fun.
Everything is out of date. Room and hallway were hot and stuffy and uncomfortable. The Elevator is slow and feel like it doesnt want to work anymore. The Manager was begging the employee to do overtime at the front desk while he checked me in.
Room was clean but in need of an update!
