The Inn at Pasatiempo

WiFi at the hotel was terrible. While I understand that it’s “free”, if you’re going to include this as a “perk” of staying at the hotel, it should be working decently.
Upon entering the room we were overwhelmed by the smell of bleach. We had to open windows and keep the door open for 15 minutes to clear the air. While I appreciate the effort to clean the room thoroughly, it was an overpowering smell and frustrating to deal with.
The sink fixture was broken and kept falling off every time we tried to use it. When I approached the front desk to let them know, the representative was unfriendly and unhelpful. She didn’t greet me, even though she clearly saw me standing there and she basically stared at me blankly after I told her about the sink. She did confirm that she understood and when I mentioned I didn’t want to be charged for any damage, she told me she’d tell the staff. No offer to fix it, no apology for the inconvenience, she didn’t even get up out of her chair to speak to me.
The worst experience we had was the bad service at the restaurant on site. Server was totally inattentive and unhelpful to say the least. I still gave her a generous tip because the busser was helping out so much.
I stayed here once before and it had been a nice experience but won’t be back. I don’t feel like spending money at a place that can’t provide its guests with some of the most basic hospitality services.

The room was very stale and the bathroom had water damage and the lighting was not goodll

Our stay was disappointing due to several cleanliness, maintenance, and overall property condition issues.
The first room we were assigned had extensive water damage and visible mold growth on the bathroom wall. The damage was significant enough that the wall appeared to be deteriorating. There were also visible foot tracks along the bathroom floor. The hotel staff moved us to another room without any complications, which we appreciated. Unfortunately, the second room also had mold growth in the shower, and the bathtub did not appear to have been properly cleaned prior to our arrival.

One of the main reasons we chose this hotel was the pool. Unfortunately, the pool floor had a noticeable layer of algae, causing the water to appear green rather than blue. We initially assumed the pool might be closed or out of service. However, the front desk employee who checked us in specifically offered additional towels in case we wanted to use it.

There were also maintenance and cleanliness concerns in the common areas. The restroom near the pool was in poor condition, and one of the sinks in the lobby restroom was out of order.

Additionally, the property's setting did not live up to our expectations. Given that the hotel is situated in what was presented as a redwood forest, we were surprised to find that the trees immediately surrounding the property were primarily eucalyptus rather than redwoods. While this may seem like a minor detail compared with the other issues, the natural setting was part of the appeal of choosing this location.

While the staff was accommodating when we requested a room change, the repeated issues with mold, cleanliness, maintenance, the condition of the pool, and the overall property significantly impacted our stay. Given the location and the expectations created by the hotel's presentation, we expected a much higher standard of cleanliness, upkeep, and overall experience.

The swimming pool was closed for maintenance for the duration of our stay which wasn't great!

La piscina no funcionava i no ens van avisar. Un dels motius de la reserva d’aquest hotel i no d’un altre era la piscina.

They broke into my car, they didn’t have cameras also they had a venue and people were drinking unktil 2-3 am in the parking lot and they had no security the next morning people where super loud like they didn’t sleep I will never stay here again totally bad experience

The unit didn’t have a drawer to put your clothes in.

Only sweets available for breakfast it room has a refrigerator and microwave so bring your own.

Had to pay if we wanted our room made up
