The property - fine.

Cons:

The Bedding - who on earth can sleep under - huge - comforters - without running the air C on full blast! Hotels need to stop this huge comforter craze. Absurd!

An oasis along my journey.
Pros:

With a 14 hour layover in Detroit, the Westin offered a wonderful opportunity to get some good rest. Conveniently connected directly to the airport, hotel staff was extremely friendly and welcoming, offering me a wake up call before my flight. The atrium was peaceful. There were food and beverage choices well into the night and service resumed early in the morning. My room was clean and perhaps most surprisingly, quiet. Finally, the Westin has its own TSA station. I was through security and at my gate within 15 minutes.

Incredible location. Warm staff. Skip the restaurant.
Pros:

Dinner was average. Not enough waitstaff. But convenience was a big factor to eat there. Front desk staff very helpful. Love how easy it is to get to the hotel from inside the terminal. Really like the reusable water bottles. Love that heavenly bed!!

Cons:

Got a room across from elevator. Kinda noisy. Used Booking.com and got stuck between them and Westin staff to correct an error generated by the Booking app. That sucked a lot.

For $500 per night I expected much much more!
Pros:

Very nice facility. Very convenient being at the airport

Cons:

Ridiculously expensive. Front desk worker could hardly speak. Extremely noisy at night with kids running the hallways and people partying in the main lobby. Nobody at the front desk at checkout. Access to the terminal closed with no instructions or personnel to give alternate directions. If you are going to run a Motel 6, at least price the stay that way. Will not be staying with you again

Convenience and Luxury—At a Steep Price
Pros:

This was probably our sixth or seventh stay at the Westin Detroit Airport before an early morning flight. As always, we chose it for the incredibly convenient in-terminal location and the high quality accommodations and facilities. The rates have skyrocketed over the years, so this time we chose to park at the Big Blue Deck instead of choosing a park-and-stay package including valet parking. (Note: We won’t do that again; the shuttle was incredibly inconvenient upon our return, and I think we saved only about $100).

Our room was as comfortable and well appointed as ever. We relaxed, ordered a room service dinner, and turned in early in anticipation of our 3:30 AM wake up call.

One of these stays I would like to be able to take advantage of the dedicated TSA station inside the hotel, but our flights have always been too early.

While the rates are incredibly steep, the Westin is definitely the best hotel in the Detroit McCarran Airport vicinity.

Another lovely stay at DTW Westin!
Pros:

Nicest airport hotel I’ve ever experienced. The comfort of Westin beds, robes, towels and amenities. A lovely lobby restaurant. And connected to the airport with its own TSA line.
