I liked everything
Pool
Location
Love the grounds a lot of activities and spa and golf
Location was great. Facilities very nice
Air in room cut off because balcony door had been opened.
Early check in allowed at front desk but room was dirty when I arrived
Enjoyed my stay, beautiful resort, great staff, awesome spa services
Always a pleasure staying here
So clean and unique
This trip to this property was difficult in several ways. Our room was not cleaned consistently and once they switched the towels but didn’t make the beds.
The food was not great and the service was extremely slow for how many people there are working. Wish the food was better but they know they have people over a barrel, there’s nothing else nearby. I don’t mind it costing a lot if it is decent.
My daughter got 2 insanely overcooked burgers. I got a 28 steak with a salad and it was tiny and didnt taste good and was not cooked to my requested temp.
Pools are awesome and that’s our favorite part always.
But the worst part was the hotel allowing the Oaks group to play loud music directly below the room where my 9 year old couldn’t sleep till after 11pm without giving us guests in that wing any heads up that this would be happening.
It was exactly as advertised. Plenty of things to do do.
The bed was like sleeping on a sheet of plywood with sheets on top.
We live in FL and traveled 4 hrs to specifically enjoy what looked like an amazing resort style pool for kids. Unfortunately, this was the murkiest hotel pool we've ever seen. I've read the hotel's response to the other mentions. We've been to countless resort pools this summer and they all have been crystal clear despite sunscreen, lotion, rain, crowds, etc. Could not see the bottom of this pool 🤢 On Saturday July 5th, around 9:15 am, a guy was throwing chemicals into the pool while families were already in the pool....
Great customer service and the staff was very accommodating.
Beautiful property and facility. Welcoming and professional staff.
We checked in on Easter Sunday for a two-night stay while visiting Auburn. As Lifetime Titanium Elite members, we have stayed at many Marriott properties over so many years, and this was one of the most disappointing.
The hotel was nearly empty. I counted no more than 20 cars in the parking lot on our first night. We booked using the military rate, as my husband has earned it. At check-in, there was no offer to assist with our luggage. When my husband asked about a room upgrade, the woman at the front desk said, "Not on your rate." No acknowledgment of his service. No "thank you." Just a dismissive response that lacked any warmth or hospitality.
We were placed in a room with a parking lot view of ongoing construction, even though the hotel had very low occupancy. Despite our elite status, no effort was made to improve our experience or recognize our loyalty.
The pool and gym were both in good condition. However, service at the pool bar was lackluster. The staff was clearly still in training, and while they were trying their best, the level of service did not match the high prices.
On the day we were scheduled to leave, we requested a late checkout. We were told by another woman at the front desk that they had to first "verify whether someone had specifically requested our room". I can say with confidence that no one was lining up to request the room we had.
It may be that this property considers itself a "resort" and chooses not to honor Bonvoy status in the same way as other hotels. Regardless, we felt unwelcome and unappreciated throughout our stay. Next time, we will book the boutique hotel near campus, where we expect to be treated with the respect Marriott once stood for.
