Bed mattress needs changing bad nights sleep due to feeling springs. Shower was hot but leaks into the bathroom. Room needs a freshen up as lots of bubbling paintwork and stained carpets in areas of the room. Kettle provided but only two milk pots and no teabags or coffee sachets, probably overlooked by housekeeping also no shower gel etc only a handwash so remember to bring your own also no hairdryer provided in the room.

We were made to feel welcome, which is worth more to us than fancy surroundings.
Pros:

Breakfast was good, our evening meal was superb, but the overwhelming reason for the enjoyment of our stay, was the friendliness of all the staff.

Cons:

The rooms are a little tired and the exterior of the accomodation block could use a spruce up, but we only used as a base to attend a nearby wedding, so it was fine for our needs.

Clean, friendly, comfortable next to the railway station; perfect for my stay.
Pros:

Staff were friendly and helpful, providing additional teabags and milk, iron and board, as well as a lovely breakfast.

Cons:

Early morning on my leaving day, everywhere was locked, and I was unsure what do do with the room key. I could not ind any instructions.

I don't believe this to be a four star establishment. Won't stay again and wouldn't recommend.
Cons:

The room was very neglected. Damp patches on the walls and ceilings, cobwebs and peeling damaged paintwork. Similarly the bathroom wasn't up to up to scratch. The tap for washbasin didn't fit and wasn't secure.

Not perfect but good value
Pros:

Pretty village. Very clean bedding and towels. Good shower. I had a couple of minor problems with lighting and tv as i wasn't sure how to use them. This was sorted out by the staff within minutes. Room was small but had everything i needed

Cons:

Very uncomfortable bed. Room was a bit dark and decor tired. Descriotion in booking stated breakfast was £8.95 but it was £9.95. The lady who served breakfast was friendly and efficient

Pros:

Friendly and helpful staff, fantastic food, especially the two for £20 deals ! Had a problem with heating/electrics in my room first night but it was sorted by nice young lady manageress ? who gave me a superior room in the main block. I don't understand some of the adverse comments posted.
