It was suitable for an overnight stay for work.
Peace and quiet, in a comfortable room. The pub and restaurant are literally on the doorstep. Good food, good atmosphere.
Parking can be difficult at times, due to the nearby train station.
The room was comfy. Twin beds and bathroom. The decorations were a bit dated, the ceiling needs painting. But very quiet. Sky TV was a bonus !
The ceiling needs painting. The mattress was a bit bumpy and so we're the pillows.
Very friendly staff and nothing was to much bother.
Food was excellent 👍 I had the Gammon and it was really good. Convenience to get to with the railway station literally facing the property.
Nothing to note! Worth highlighting that decoration in areas is growing wear in the lounge and the bedroom room 9. Although neither detracted from my stay.

They set up a lovely breakfast table for me and my partner, it was beautifully set up and the staff had clearly started work early to accommodate the time we ate (we were out early that day so ate before) The staff were super helpful, friendly, and approachable. Not a noisey pub either so no issues with anyone in there.
The room itself was really disappointing. My partner and I are slightly on the taller sidem - average height to taller id say - and the bed was extremely small and uncomfortable. I ended up with a few bites and neither of us slept very well. We actually left a day early as we were so tired and uncomfortable from the night before it just wasnt worth another night, which was a shame as it cut our trip short visiting family. The room itself very small not much room to even go to the otherside of the bed, tiny TV which isnt that big of a deal as wasn't there for that. Yeah just the whole room. The shower was also very small and the shower room flooded abit, was hard to wash my hair properly.

Everything
Good beer and good food
TV remote too complicated 😂
great place to stay for the night, staff were friendly and food was great too
could be doing with bigger TV's in the rooms
it is not as noisy as you would expect (nearby train station, which was a nice surprise and you shouldn't be woken by the trains. It's also right next to a train station. The building where most stay appears to be a separate building to the pub. Access to the pub is easy. Parking was easy and close to the rooms. The bed was nice and comfortable. As far as I could tell, it offers good value for money.
The pub is often busy and noisy up until really late, this is naturally great for the pub but not so great for those staying overnight, especially on hot nights when there's only one window to open. There's no air-conditioning and no fan. There is a 'desk' supplied but if you're anything like me it might be tough to get your legs under. I'm not sure if it was my particular room but the window is quite low and that makes it easy for anyone in the staff car park to see basically right into the room and if you have the curtains open to try and get the room cool, best not to be in a state of undress. The toilet works but it's not great at flushing, it's a water saving toilet might want to bear that in mind. The shower base looks like it's seen better days. I think there's supposed to be an extractor fan for the bathroom but I didn't hear it.
Also, I didn't bother raising it (I had other issues), but some lights didn't work, one above the bed itself and the bathroom mirror light didn't work either. The walls are also quite thin, so if other people staying are ahem enjoying themselves, it's clearly audible.
Food was lovely
Rooms very tired.Water stains on the ceiling,no toiletries provided.Sky to didn’t work.Sink tap in the bathroom was loose and could only get hot water if we held onto the tap.
Everything was wonderful. Warm, greeting. Taken straight to room for a great 4 night stay. Makings replenished, bed comfy and nice Christmas present awaiting me. Fantastic.
Nothing to dislike. Location great for nearness to my family. Superb.
