The gentleman at check in was great and even more so when I requested a room swap shortly after arriving.
Ill start this off by saying I myself have worked as a room attendant. Supervisor and manager. This place is in need of some serious overhaul as far ad those positions are concerned.
Room 219 was VERY dirty. Hair clumps on the floor. Sticky spots that were visible to the eye and felt under your feet. Some yellow drip stain on the side of the counter for the bathroom sink. Stained linens. We moved to room 244 and were greeted by the same esthetics as well as cold water in the bathtub.
I had to call multiple times to reach Wainy, the manager of the property, for a 40 dollar refund out of the 103 I spent to introduce my chdren to their first and only visit to a Days Inn. We had been on the road from Florida mind you. A shower was needed and unable to happen. We slept on top of the linens like Dracula hoods tied tight around our heads and shoes on our feet. We used one of the white towels to wipe a small spill from one of their cups and the towel was blackened after one swipe. Just unbelievably dirty unfortunately.
Location
FULL of mold! The room didnt have any drawers or phone.
The price was reasonable. There were restaurants and stores nearby.
My door was defective for 3 days of my stay and I had to spend one night in another room without access to my clothes, hygiene products, my phone chargers and laptop and medication.
It was just OK
Building needs full renovation
The front desk staff was cordial and efficient.
This was my experience:
Very noisy! 3 of the 5 nights of my stay, people were playing their car stereos loud outside my room until after 2:00 and 3:00 AM. Also, loud noises until 4:30 AM on two nights from what sounded like the neighbor directly above me and the following night next door to my room. Your building seems to lack effective soundproofing or noise abatement. The fixtures and cabinetry were very cheap and towels were just one step up from cleaning rags. The bed linens were severely worn with the fitted sheet sporting several holes in them. The plumbing in the sink did not allow for efficient drainage (this was especially true when washing my hands or brushing my teeth). The water would drain extremely slow from the sink bowl. The toilet was of poor quality. The water in the toilet bowl was insufficient to flush the excrement down the toilet bowl. This required me to flush at least 2 or 3 times when I had to poop. There was no toilet wand that would have allowed me to clean the poop from the walls of the toilet bowl. The toilet was so cheaply designed that the water didn’t swish the walls of the bowl. Very nasty. The bathtub needs re-enameling (it was gross, had many chips, and was very old and unattractive). The shower head was old, rusty, and corroded. It looked like it had been there for maybe 25 years. The water pressure in the shower was insufficient. Also the shower head was glued to the fixture so that the guest could not adjust the flow or direction of the water. The shower curtains are a joke and did not prevent water from splashing onto the floor outside the tub. The heater/air conditioning unit was right across from the bed and was very loud - making it quite difficult for me to get a good night’s sleep. I did not get one good night’s sleep during my entire stay.
So, quote truthfully, I’m being quite generous giving you a 2 star rating.
Great hotel, very clean and comfortable. Would recommend.
