Would recommend and plan to stay there again when back in the area
Pros:

Most convenient location in Branford, near everything
Easy parking and check-in
Microwave and fridge
Clean with no odor at all(in a nonsmoking room)
Comfortable beds and bedding
Blackout curtains
Water pressure
Staff went above and beyond

Cons:

For some reason our key didn’t work a half hour prior to checkout, I’ll ask about that next time

Horrible, when trying to get a room at other properties, all were sold out. Overpriced too

Cons:

Old furnishings, AC noisy all night and cooling sub par. This property needs to be updated. Also booking.com emailed me to say we were a no show, what’s going on here?

It was clean and the shower was very powerful (great water pressure),although an older facility it is updated and well maintained.

Old motel but very clean and well kept.
Pros:

We just needed a place to crash and we’re happy to find this motel late at night.
Host was wonderful. He even checked on us after we check in to see if we were happy with our room.

We often travel 6 hours from NW Maine to visit family in Branford. We have stayed at the American Inn several times. It has reliably been clean, affordable, and conveniently located. The family that runs it has always treated us well. Thank You for this great home away from home.
