Personale cortese, struttura datata, bagno molto molto vecchio...
Hated it. Do not waste your money. Staff is terrible and hotel is not even clean.
The hotel met expectations. A little dated, but clean and comfortable beds, room not too hot, meant we slept well. A base for exploring Florence, enjoyable in its own right. I imagine it's lovely here in the spring. Would happily return.
Hotel mit einem freundlichen und Vintage Flair. Sehr zu empfehlen.
The service was impeccable and i will return. I would love to see the property during the summer. Thank you so much for abgreat stay.
We arrived hot and footsore having walked all day through the mountains but were given an indifferent welcome. Our request for an early breakfast was met with negativity, though eventually it was agreed to provide us with a bottle of water and a tub of biscuits. The room was clean.
Sehr freundliches Personal, sehr sauber, kostenlose Parkplätze direkt am Haus
It was excellent. We absolutely enjoyed our stay. The vila is very beautiful and cozy and the hosts were very friendly and helpful. Thank you very much. We do recommend this hotel and the owners.
Wij waren de enige gasten op wat doorgangers na. Er was geen restaurant of bar in het hotel in werking. Wel een restaurant 500 m verderop. Zonder auto is het in deze periode (oktober) noodzakelijk dat je je hier op in stelt. Busregeling is beperkt.
Starting with the Positive: Hotel is beautiful building, clean and in quiet location. The internet is very good. The bed was comfortable and bed linen very nice.
Now for the Negatives: There is a major problem with the water. For the 4 days we were there, the water, at best, was a tepid dribble. On asking about it, the owner appeared surprised and made big show of coming up to investigate. Later she told us it was problem in the village and was being fixed. After 2 days we gave up asking - fortunately it was June and not winter. We were glad after 4 days there to get home to a nice shower.
The breakfast was mediocre at best - there was no fruit ( in Italy!) and the fruit juice was that over sweetened vitamin type drink. Very disappointing. Felt the price was poor value for money, possibly exploited for Mugello Bike racing week??
It is actually rather sad, as the Hotel building and location have great potential to be really lovely.

This is a charming old fashioned hotel . Seems as though it's heyday was some years ago and there is a lovely stillness about it. The staff make you feel welcome ,but the hotel cat, Julio Cesar, seems neither pleased or displeased by the arrival of new guests.
Look out for the antique radio in the lounge.
This bed and breakfast was the perfect overnight stay for our family vacation. This family-run business was outstanding. The owners were friendly and multi-lingual. They were extremely welcoming upon our arrival and directed us to our room. The rooms were very spacious and had a rustic charm.
While at the hotel, the staff gave us a tour of the grounds. Situated on a hillside outside of Florence, the views were stunning. The main building was surrounded by flower gardens. This didn't overshadow the building, which was a lovely 19th century home. The staff were able to tell us a beautiful story about the hotel's history, including its pivotal role in previous wars, which we were rather impressed by.
The room came with lots of clean linens and a kit that included lots of toiletries that went beyond our expectations.
Last, but certainly not least, we ended our stay with a breakfast in the hotel's historic dining room. The room had high ceilings and original accents. The food was fresh and met all of our dietary needs (vegetarian, gluten-free). Additionally, the owner's hand-pressed coffee was lovely.
If we have the opportunity to return to Florence in the future, this bed and breakfast will be an essential part of our stay!
titolari cortesi e disponibili, pulizia, colazione non molto ricca ma con dolci fatti in casa
A great hotel near Florence. The staff was really receptive to all our needs. The rooms are clean and cozy. As the hotel is away from the city center there is no noise and the scenery is very nice ...
I picked the hotel with high expectation from both the pics and positive review. However it turned out to be the worst hotel we have ever stayed so far during our trip.
To start with, the way to the hotel from Venice as directed by GPS and phone was getting more and more challenging and at several moments I feared we would never be able to make it. The zigzagged road was narrow and steep.
When we finally got to the hotel, I further doubted my pick as I saw only one car in the yard, and it was 8pm. The two buildings didn't look as beautiful as in the pics. Actually they looked pretty creepy especially in the foggy rain. I was made more disappointed when learning that the two rooms I booked were actually located in two separate buildings, and neither had lifts.
As if that was not enough. when we finally got ourselves into the rooms, I found no wifi at all. I was told later on that the dependent building didn't have wifi and the wifi in the other building was down and not fixed.
Small room, small beds, pretty aged facilities, mediocre breakfast...I was trying to justify my own choice but unfortunately I couldn't find any.
I need to give fair credit to the owner/manager. They were very friendly and helpful. And if you understand this was just a family-owned-and-run hotel, it was actually carefully maintained and had its own proud history. If you appreciate those more than the comfort or convenience, it may not be a bad choice.
For me and my family, we won't come back again.
We stayed there one night as we were trekking Via degli Dei, the walk from Bologna to Firenze. The entrance hall overwhelmed us a bit, because we were in hiking gears, but the owners were used to it, and we were soon brought to a comfortable room. The hotel obviously gets very busy in the summer, but this time of the year it was still quiet. It is tranquil, well attended, almost like being at home. The library is well equipped and I could stay there reading for hours. As some have commented, it is a very pleasant traditional hotel. They welcome travellers with dogs which is exceptional. Hearing that actually made me miss my dog at home even more. Hopefully the next time with my dog.
