Not bad- close to convention center
Pros:

This was not a horrible place and was a great location for event we were there for. Room was clean, a little dated. My main concern was the elevator was down for the 3 nights we stayed. The staff was great- helpful, offering use of freight elevator if they could. That being said, hotel management should be more prepared for large events!

Rundown but staff was great
Pros:

The room is quite rundown. Bad water pressure, really cheap toiletry products, breakfast items were definitely leftovers from day before. The room is not sound proof so lots of noise from street. The staff were very nice though. Everyone was super friendly and really tried above and beyond to help you out.

Good for conventions
Pros:

I stayed three nights here. The staff were all wonderful and helpful. The hotel is right next-door to the entrance to the convention center making it ideal for conventions, but not much else as there really isn't the whole lot around the immediate neighborhood nor would you want to go far as there's abandoned sky rises not but a block away anyway. St. Louis is no doubt an unfortunate place and the area suffers from flooding as there was standing water on the sidewalks. The Starbucks, which is technically in the hotel lobby, is set back six or seven steps from the sidewalk and can only be entered from inside the hotel and not outside. Maybe it's for flooding, maybe it's a neighborhood thing, not sure.

Bush Stadium and the Gateway arch are about a 15 minute walk away. There is lots of food near Bush Stadium, but to get food to the hotel, you're largely left with the in hotel restaurant or DoorDash.

The hotel could use some updating. It's interesting that in the lobby they have a video on replay about the remodel that happened 12 years ago and it seems like they haven't changed a thing since. One of the four star diamond awards on the wall is actually missing a diamond lol. The room doors, for example, look tired and weathered. The hot water in the room was coming out of both faucets, in all my years of travel, I have never seen that occur. Eventually if you run the water for 20-30 minutes it cools off enough where you can take a shower.

For the price, I probably would look at something different in the area as you were paying for the convenience to walk across the street to the convention center, it felt more like an all-inclusive resort setup than a downtown hotel.

Front desk staff nice, but the building is old and not the cleanlinest, also very overpriced $400 room for one night all

Very disappointing and ridiculously overpriced for the experience we got.
Pros:

The room and beds were clean, at least.

Cons:

There was no toilet paper in the room and room service did not respond when we tried to call them with the phone in our room. We had to resort to using the tissue paper in the bathroom. We also ran out of body wash after only one of us took a shower so they clearly did not check to refill it. Paid wifi is also rediculous for the price of the room.

The hotel was just fair, but nothing exceptional.
Pros:

Liked that the room was equipped with mini fridge. Bathroom was clean and plenty of towels. Window treatments were good at blocking out light.

Cons:

Room #735 had a significant tear in the carpet between the beds. All of us tripped on it during our 2-night stay. A heavy marijuana smell was present in and around the elevators. There were cigarette butts in the stairwell. Would have been better if the rooms had microwaves. The bed was very uncomfortable for me, but was okay for the other two occupants.

It was decent.
Pros:

The location was perfect and right down the street from the venue! Less than a five minute walk

Cons:

There was no free breakfast. The rooms were not clean, the sheets and pillowcases had stains on them. One of the workers said there was no stairs.
