Adequate, but needs updating.
Cons:

The hotel property and the rooms are very dated. It's in need of a serious refurbishment. If you're staying in thte area, there are better spots with modern touches.

Pros:

The staff at the hotel were wonderful. They were very friendly and helpful.
The lobby area was nice.
The beds were comfortable.

Cons:

The room was dirty, run-down, and in need of some serious repair and cleaning.
The shower curtain rod was falling off, the tub drain did not drain, the furniture was scratched and the curtains were full of holes.
I'm guessing it has been in need of renovations for several years now.
Even though I am a Choice Member, we were unable to get bottled water.
I have stayed at the Sleep Inn in Staunton and it is beautiful!

Not recommended.
Pros:

The pillows were good.

Cons:

The room was trashed. All the furniture needed repairs or refinishing. Carpet was yucky, I wouldn’t go barefoot. The bathroom door didn’t close. No soap dish so soap sits on counter. Breakfast was over sweet, not nutritious. We paid several hundred dollars for what should have been an $80 room.

Friendly from desk staff on arrival!
Pros:

Hotel was nicely located within 20 minutes of Skyline Drive. Rode motorcycle from Philadelphia area, and needed to find location within short drive of Shenandoah National Park.

Would stay there again
Pros:

Coffee was really good. Staff was excellent, from front desk to housekeeping. They were able to accommodate our early check-in which really helped us out. The room was very spacious and bed was comfortable.

Cons:

The couch in the room was a bit dilapidated with a gash in the cushion.

Pros:

The lady at reception during check-in was super friendly and welcoming, even at the end of her long shift. Also, complimentary breakfast was decent and there was free parking on site, so it met our needs.

Cons:

Perfectly fine for one night, but in my opinion the photos looked better than reality. Our room had seen better days.
