dogs barking all night
Pros:

Had a terrible experience with staff. I reported dogs barking in the room next door and the staff did nothing about it. It when on our entire stay and they would not switch our rooms.

Good News!
Pros:

The Omni is the hotel I always book with when I visit Corpus Christi. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is well maintained and in a great location near the beach which makes it easy to enjoy other points of interest that are near by. The room is nicely decorated, with a Keurig coffee maker along with an assortment of coffee, sugars, creamers, teas etc. The Bar and Grill located on the 20th floor is fabulous and not way over priced like I’ve seen at some hotels.

The hotel is in a great location , but needs updating.
Pros:

The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was also in a great location.

Cons:

The hotel is outdated. The pool tiles were loose. The room furniture was outdated, scratched, and the chair in our room had a hole in it. The room wasn’t dirty, but I did have to wipe down the desk and bathroom counter.

Did not think the cost for the stay was worth it
Pros:

The location is excellent, with easy access to nearby attractions, restaurants, and other amenities. Great view from the balcony!

The connected parking was very convenient, and the front desk staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Check-in was quick and easy, which made for a great first impression.

I also appreciated having dining options and additional amenities available within the hotel itself.

Cons:

The hotel is an older property and you can tell it has some age. The carpet in the room felt dirty, not because of housekeeping, but rather because the room was older.

Another concern was the condition of the hairdryer in the room. The air intake vent on the back of the hairdryer was heavily clogged with dust and lint. Not only is this a potential fire hazard, but it also reflects a lack of attention to routine maintenance and cleanliness. Hairdryers are inexpensive items that are used frequently by guests, so they should be inspected, cleaned, and replaced as needed. Small details like this can significantly impact a guest’s perception of the property’s overall cleanliness and upkeep.

The hot tub was also disappointing. There was a noticeable buildup of grime along the inside surface of the tub, and while I was using it, I pulled out 3 band aids floating in the water while I was in there. The first time it happened was when I got my hands out of the water and the bandaid was on my palm. It felt pretty gross. The water appeared slightly yellow, and a significant amount of dirty looking foam accumulated on the surface. Overall, the hot tub did not appear to be cleaned or maintained frequently enough.

I would recommend more frequent water changes and a thorough cleaning and scrubbing of the hot tub to improve the guest experience.

Great Facilities
Pros:

Excellent valet service and front desk staff!!!

Cons:

I wish they had more snacks and grocery available. We missed breakfast and were unable to get anything on the go.

We also couldn't get the wifi to work on the television to link streaming options.

A lovely surprise celebration in an excellent location.
Pros:

Excellent location and delicious food. Spacious bed and room.

Cons:

The 11th floor hallway smells strongly of mildew. A disadvantage of being by the sea and difficult to remediate. But it must be addressed soon.

Subpar with one glowing exception
Pros:

I would ONLY give the service provided by Alaina P for breakfast at the Switchgrass Landing a 10. She was exceptionally attentive and warm and went beyond our expectations of service. She did not know that it was our anniversary, or that we had a bad experience at check in the day before. She displayed all of these qualities of her own accord. It was so remarkable that we had to mention it to her manager. When I asked the front desk for her manager's name, they were overjoyed to share. When I called her manager (Laura), Gina answered the phone in her behalf and also expressed the same enthusiasm over the commendation we wished to give Alaina. Knowing that members of this team celebrate each other was so nice and really brightened our day. Additionally, Gina introduced herself to us on the next morning at breakfast, going out of her way to make us feel welcome. This was outstanding service and attitudes that should be recognized and rewarded.

Unfortunately, the remainder of our stay paled in comparison. We were rudely addressed by valet, our bags (containing various electronic devices) were left unattended, and moved far from the view of the valet station to the opposite end of the driveway. They rudely refused to let us handle our bags once we discovered this (contrary to what we were told would be the experience by the front desk). I will acknowledge and do appreciate that the gentleman at the front desk tried to right the wrong.

There was a barking dog, left unattended across the hall from our room. (I have video) We had to call the front desk, who seemed more concerned with reminding me that you are a pet friendly hotel, than addressing the fact that the dog was left unattended by its owner.

We were not allowed to use our drink vouchers on Sunday in the same manner that we used them on Friday, even though the voucher clearly states what beverages are included. We were curtly told that the policy changed Sunday morning. All of our encounters at the coffee shop were met with lukewarm service.

With the exception of our experience with Alaina and Gina, we didn't feel welcome in your hotel.

Unfortunately, the Corpus Christi hotel just does not live up to the OMNI standard that we have become accustomed to.
