Lovely setting in a M1 backwater
All very tired. Curtains hanging off and grubby. Carpet was not clean. Cheap toilet paper.
A beautiful independent hotel. I had a lovely room, due to business commitments, I only had 9.5 hours at the hotel. Whilst there were a number of issues with my room the staff did everything they could to rectify them. As a coeliac the breakfast options were plenty but not very inspired. Overall, I liked the ambiance, the staff and would definitely use it again.
More interesting GF options for breakfast.
The staff were nice.
There was internal building work, which wasn’t mentioned to me, opposite my room which started at 8am both mornings. You could hear it whilst at breakfast too. Very loud which affected my stay. Very unpleasant! No manager to complain to.. just given an email address.
Locatie, rustige omgeving, goed restaurant
Beautiful location. Extremely attentive staff. They couldn't have done more or been more friendly.
The building and surrounding area are beautiful.
The breakfast was fabulous.
The only thing I could say was the tv didn't work. The aerial connection was faulty and we brought this to the attention of the staff, but it did not improve.
Comfortable room and good breakfast.
No one wears glasses going into a shower: larger print on the shampoo, conditioner, etc bottles would help!
Breakfast was fantastic. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly.
The room needed a bit of TLC. The sink tap was hanging off and the shower can was no more than a dribble.
Lovely building, grounds, comfortable spacious rooms, hearty breakfast. Great walking distance into town. Ample parking.
Nothing.
The great setting and grounds.
Extremely helpful Staff.
Having to leave!
Nothing
Room/carpets dirty, cobwebs hanging from the ceiling. Workman on the roof walking past our window without warning. Some lights not working.
The location is great as it's not far from London but as the grounds are extensive, it is very quiet and you could be anywhere in the countryside! The hotel isn't too big and impersonal, but cosy, tastefully decorated, comfortable, great views and well kept so that one feels it is a special occasion at a country house. We had six rooms and we were all very comfortable. The food was superb and the staff very attentive, courteous and extremely helpful. A wonderful location for any special occasion or just when you need some pampering!
nothing
Flitwick manor is a gem. Independently owned , amazing staff , comfortable furnishings & lovely ambience. One of our favourites.
There’s nothing we don’t like - but you have to be aware this is a property of history and age so electrical sockets etc may not be where you want them to be. But the positives outweigh all that for us
Lovely location nice rooms, friendly staff
Service a bit slow, bar closed early, bathrooms needs updating
Adding a Swimming pool would be a good addition
Excellent location, lovely peaceful garden, quirk but nice rooms.
Service was excellent…when you could get it. It is diabolically slow. 30 minutes to order a cup of tea. Over one hour to get breakfast. Allow yourself plenty of time, and don’t go if you are at all impatient.
We love the location and return often having taken the hotel for our marriage 23 years ago this August!!It retains its identity as a quiet country house.
It’s v ry good in every aspect
Everything was awesome except the decore and that's just my personal preference. It's a Manor so the decore was for a manor. I'm a minimalist kind of person who loves new fresh decore, that's all
The decore
