Disappointing. Hotel is aged. Rooms are average. I could overlook that if service was good but 24 hours in it hasn’t been.
I had a medium rare steak ordered which came well done. Virtually cremated.
Then after leaving my suit for dry cleaning for 24 hours and then having to chase up where it was this evening not once but twice, turns out it had been sitting crunched up in a bag ‘out back’.
Not good enough and not what I would expect from the Marriott brand.
I had the most amazing experience from May 1 to May 3rd. The staff was awesome and Althea went above and beyond to make sure my stay was a great experience. I even ran into Rubin Studder. I highly recommend!
Nice hotel for conferences
Nice and clean rooms
Amazing vibe
Nice restaurants in hotel
Marriott bonvoy members get points and advantage/benefits
Nice spot for conferences
Didn’t partake in the breakfast, but everything looked amazing
There wasn’t anything I didn’t like
I attended a conference and this was the discounted hotel. If I knew how bad the room was going to be, I would have stayed at a different hotel. There are plenty to choose from within walking distance of the hotel. There was no closet or drawers for my clothes! I had to lay out my clothes on the spare bed. The bathroom door would not stay open. The bathroom smelled. The curtains would not close. There was no water pressure and the shower system was defective. Two shower heads and one barely worked. There was blinking lights in the room from the various systems. There was no place to put things in the bathroom. See attached photos. I usually don't give reviews but this was so bad, I need to warn others what to expect.
The Staff is phenomenal Radelyn and Brogan are the best
The location was great for the convention center and easy access to the NASCAR museum. Clean rooms, comfortable bed with lots of pillows. Basic room with a mini fridge and a small coffee pot. Nothing more than that.
The breakfast buffet is $32 but there is an option to get some basic items on room service for less.
Came to Westin on a business trip, I wasn't going to park Valet but her customer service made me choose out wise
Valet Manager Randylyn is the best in charge, she's always there to help
Manager Randylyn helped me while I checked in . I watched her talk to guest , load luggage carts and assist with opening doors within the same time frame
Randylyn has top tier customer service . She's very polite and her suggestions on food places within the city are on point .
I stayed here for two nights while in town for business. My room was clean and spacious, and the hotel staff were great. The location of the hotel is in a great place, walkable to so much downtown Charlotte has to offer, including the convention center. My room was quiet and the noise level was more than fine. The amenities were great, however the lounge access charged for breakfast, which is not normal as a Titanium member. I will say the lounge was much better staffed than other Marriott property lounges, so that was a nice touch.
bed
room key wouldn't work--had to go to front desk four times
This is a nice hotel. The bed was comfortable, the staff professional, and friendly. The reason I’m writing is to warn against ordering room service. There is a restaurant in the hotel which has received nice reviews; but they do not provide room service. Oh, no. Instead a “cafe” in the lobby provides that “service”. Innocently and tired from a long plane ride, we checked out the room service menu. Not exciting, but they had a smash burger and fries and that offering lured us into ordering. My wife chose a vegetarian pita, I thought I’d try the turkey sandwich. . .. There was a place to make requests, I asked for toasted bread.
Soon, very soon, a soft knock on the door and a woman with a paper bag gave us our food. Startled, we took possession. Inside were plastic boxes containing the food. Yes, the kind you pick up at an airport kiosk. My bread was not toasted, it was chilled when I pried open the box. It tasted like kiosk food. My wife's pita had barely any hummus, and yes, it was chilly as well. One wonders what the burger would have been.
The next morning we got coffee from the “cafe” ( not very good coffee) and noticed in the refrigerated area next to the counter the same meals we ordered from room service at half the price!
Fair warning.
March 2026 stay. Very nice and clean hotel and would recommend. Great restaurant/bar for dinner and happy hour. Nice breakfast lounge on the 3rd floor. Rooms were ok size, fairly modern, with large TV that could stream Netflix and other services. Bathroom was modern, but small...not a big deal
