If you’re expecting brand new 5 star accommodation, don’t book here. If you’re looking for a really cool historic site to stay at - book it! The beds are comfortable and the staff has been very welcoming. The carpets in the room could use replacing, but outside of that, no real complaints. It feels like you’re stepping back in time. I visit San Antonio monthly for work, and I’ve appreciated the quietness for a downtown property.
All good nice place
Clean, friendly staff, easily walkable to riverwalk and La Villita, reasonable price for the area.
It was clean and close to the river walk. We did not have hot water in our first room they moved us to another and still iffy on hot water after changing rooms. The place could definitely do with an updated remodel. The staff were great about this water issue.
Wonderful little hotel, incredible location right on the Riverwalk. The only real complaint I have is about the parking- the communications I received led me to believe parking would be free, but they wanted to charge me $26 a day to park in the garage adjacent to the hotel. You can (and I did) find cheaper parking on the same city block, though, so it’s not a huge issue. Just be aware if you book here.
Within a block of access to Riverwalk. Walkable to many shopping and dining options.
It is walking distance of everything, RiverWalk, Alamo and Fiesta Market Square and lots of restaurants.
If you offer a city view there should be a city view, i could barely see the parking lot across the street.
Front desk clerk was very friendly and helpful.
We have stayed before and it is a great historic building. Bed was comfortable and the room was great. Just a block away from the river walk. They do charge $26 for parking, which is high.
Stayed here for our 35th Anniversary and the service was wonderful. The young lady Sarah at the front desk was the most pleasant person. We will definitely stay here again. Only a block from the Riverwalk
Read the horror stories and had a ton of concerns after booking. All in all no issues and everything worked for the value. Yet for
Great easy check in. Parking is right next door. This place was quaint and quiet. Walking distance to the Alamo and the river walk. Balcony was nice to hang out on. Comfortable bed slept great. Had a fridge that was handy for Coke and water. The AC unit was great and quiet.
This was literally the worst hotel. No way was it boutique. It was filthy, the mattress was about 2” thick, the tv’s came on at random. I was told it was because of poor reception. The “private balcony “ was non existent. Just a long balcony separated by chains. The bathroom and common areas were filthy. I went to my room and immediately left. The property refused to return my money. Strongly do not recommend!
Everyone there was very helpful and nice.
Very nice atmosphere. Love the way the heals were decorated very cozy. Could use some renovations. The ceiling in restroom had a bad patch up job and around the AC unit . That did not bother us just feel like it would make such a big difference. For some renovations
Super great stay, very nice staff and a quiet room
It was a very nice experience to stay at a place that has so much history. The river walk was close by and staff was so friendly and accommodating.
The whole hotel needs updating , the room smelled like mold , the bed was hard as a rock .. places in the floor felt like they would give away and fall through any minute. It’s not worth the 120.09 a night to stay at . Plus you get charged 25.00 to park ..
Excellent service, very clean and love how close it is to the Rivere Walk.
