A short walk from Lucan village.
Rooms very nice with tea available in room, bed very comfortable. Vending machine in lobby. Hotel clean, staff very helpful, slight old building smell in some parts of the hotel. No noise a night. The food and price of room, well it is in Dublin, but the food was good. En suite in my room was small and access to shower was tight.
Born and raised in Lucan so I have a long history with the Spa Hotel, from playing in the surrounding woods as a child to going to the "no name" disco as a teenager, in later life I moved down to county Clare but still have alot of family in Lucan and visit there often and the Spa Hotel has become my home away from home,I cannot say enough about the treatment I receive when I am there always such a relaxed atmosphere with the friendliest staff one could imagine, from having a few pints with a late dinner in their extremely comfortable dinning area/bar then to retire to one of their welcoming homely suites upstairs to an excellent breakfast in the morning 5 stars as always ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Very disappointed to say we attended an abba tribute at spa hotel when we arrived we were left one seat short at the table we approached an manager by the name Alison(sheridan) and she spoke very rude and was very unhelpful when we proceeded to explain we also worked in hospitality and we understood how functions work her answer was 'good for you' we were utterly disappointed and disgusted at such behaviour from a manager at a family owned hotel and no apology for the mix up on seats was ever received.
Besides Alisons behaviour the wait staff were lovely and very efficient it, was such a pity she could have really approached the situation in a much more professional matter.
Very outdated room but that said it was clean.
Breakfast was ok, very basic nothing fancy.
It was very difficult to get a good nights sleep. You could hear doors banging from neighbouring guests. Noise from outside was also an issue. Walls seemed to be paper thin.
Staff were not very helpful in dealing with issues.
Parking is great though.
This hotel is about a 40-minute bus ride from Dublin City Centre. The front desk staff were friendly and welcoming. We stayed for two nights and did not try the on-site restaurant or breakfast options. Our room was clean and comfortably sized for four people. The bathroom was also clean, though there were some areas of rust and a few exposed pipes—nothing major for a short stay.
Lovely hotel, with professional staff. Stayed here on several occasions. always feel at home when I enter this property. This stay was for one night, coming back from the airport. Lucky to get to the restaurant before it closed. Had lovely food at the bar, before heading for bed. Lovely bedroom, with ensuite. Warm cosy and very clean. Breakfast the following morning was delicious. I recommend this hotel, to anybody staying in Dublin for business or pleasure.
All the staff are guest orientated and very professional Thank you to everybody at The Spa Hotel for making my stay so memorable.
I selected the Lucan Spa Hotel to be close to family. I was thrilled with the delightful staff, the Full Irish Breakfast served daily, the Pub and the Pub Grub available (daily), hot and delicious when we arrived back to the hotel. We only had a week this time and were determined to pack in all the sights. My son and I bought bus passes and as the bus stopped at The Spa Hotel it was a great way for us to "do as the locals do." We saved money and spent a little time seeing the scenery go by and hearing the sounds of everyday conversations, jokes and laughter on the bus. Having enjoyed our Full Irish Breakfast and chats with various staff members at Bistro, in the halls, and at the front desk we were set for another day's adventure. Our room was clean, convenient, and attended to everyday. The tea service in the room allowed us to relax upon our return with hot cup of tea as we talked about all we'd seen and done that day. The front desk staff were terrific arranging for a taxi on two occasions when 1.) we needed to run to the airport and 2.) meet a tour bus extremely early. All the staff were fantastic, but a special thanks to Laoise! She was lovely and sweet, vivacious spark to get our morning started.
Service was fantastic and everybody was very friendly. The room i had was very dated and clearly very old although was clean and adequate
Helpful staff, delicious meals, clean & comfortable rooms. Was a little far out of Dublin but accessible by bus.
The semmed staff lovely, but it's the hotel's disrepair, we had damp patches in our room, curtains had stains in ten backing of them and off runners, one of the radiators wasnt even working, the furniture had digs and scarps in it, the bed runner had inground food in it on the back part, and its restaurant breakfast made us ill, and on top of that unless you know the location be warned its on top of a motorway, good for convenience but my god you heard trafiic day and night.
Very friendly
Excellent parking...comfy en suite rooms...hard working and helpful staff
The staff was absolutely lovely! We had a wonderful time and highly recommend for travelers looking for a quiet and helpful location to stay.
Hotel was easy to find, check in and check out was fuss free. Liked the big secure car park, some of which is hidden from the main road. The ladies who checked us in/out were very helpful and friendly. Had dinner in the bar, standard pub fare which was fine although the pizza wasn’t great. Our party had two double rooms, one was ok temperature wise, but ours was cold. I appreciate that parts of this hotel are old but our room had single glazing and you could feel draughts all around the windows. We did have a room overlooking the rear car park so noise wasn’t an issue. Breakfast was decent, I ordered poached eggs which were cooked perfectly. The four of us all enjoyed our cooked breakfast and the two young ladies working at breakfast were helpful. Rooms were clean and beds comfortable.
We pulled off the highway to a old building that looked abandoned. We were worried..... turns out you have to drive behind / to side of old building to get to the Lucan Spa Hotel. Hotel was good. Nice staff. Great breakfast included (glad because this hotel was a little pricey). When we left we drove down and it said we needed a code to exit property. Went back to receptionist who said no code on weekday and just to pull closer to gate and it would open. This would have been good to know before checking out. Overall decent stay if you have a vehicle
This was an affordable option for our last night and catching an early flight. The room was spacious and clean enough for our needs. The front desk staff was friendly.
Absolutely delightful with its own pub. Bistro and restaurant. Breakfast was a hearty Irish fare, more than I could eat. Definitely a place to return to. Quiet well equipped room. Comfy bed and clean
We have stayed here before and had a lovely time so had no problem booking again, however on arrival the woman on reception was very off hand asked about booking breakfast, but she really wasn’t interested. Yea tray not refilled and no one even bothered to ask if we enjoyed our stay. Poor show.
The front desk staff was quite lovely
A lovely stay in this hotel. The only fault I had was the shower. It had a narrow entrance to get into as the glass was fixed to it.
