Ubicación excelente
Colpaso con el uso del ascensor en las mañanas. Le hace falta una remodelación.
Location, morning breakfast included.
Elevators, one was out of order a day or two during stay and the other one and both when working were very slow.
So angry at the booking process and ridiculously poor customer service. We booked via their website in Australia, in Australian dollars knowing full well about how conversion rates work. Yet when we got our confirmation an extra $1000 was added. This is taking conversion rates in mind. When asked about this the circus rolled into town. No replies to our initial email which would have given us time to cancel (biggest regret) Follow up emails finally got attention but got us noone where. Attempted to talk to 'someone' once in the country a few weeks before arrival only to be passed to at least 8 different people who said they didn't know / its not my job. Fark. Finally got some women who spoke to us like we were stupid and didn't understand conversion rates. Despite emailing screen shoots clearly showing we booked in AUD there was a stonewalling insistence that the price was the price. Beyond maddening. If you experience this as a foreigner don't expect a result or logic. Cancel your booking and move on to another hotel.
On another note, as a reward for paying too much, several power points and a light didn't work in our room. Also one of the 2 elevators often didn't work.
The only positive is the location.
Location was good
Soap bottle was empty, breakfast in paper plates and plastic utensil.
Close to Penn Station. Free breakfast.
Elevator was out. Fan in bathroom was really loud. Dogs barking in neighbors room. Doors slamming all night.
Stay elsewhere.
I had problems with bathroom sink and shower that I basically had to fix myself. Poor air-conditioning in the rooms; none in the lobby.
Do not Valet Park!!
I waited 2 hours to get my car from the valet. And the car had damage caused by the valet.
There are better hotel choices in area
Pluses: Great location, quick check-in, friendly staff, clean, quiet, relatively spacious room for NYC, and free weekend street parking nearby.
Minuses: Somewhat dated compared with other Hampton Inns. Breakfast serving area is a little cramped (but the seating area in the back is nice).
La ubicación. Las paradas de metro muy cerca del hotel.
El fin de semana, cuando más gente había alojada en el hotel, se estropeó uno de los dos ascensores.
Poca variedad en el desayuno, pero bien.
Housekeeping was sporadic and often needed to be requested rather than be pro active.
The room was a good size, very cozy, with bigger bathroom.and closet, and the desk chair was so comfortable. Staff were all very friendly, and quick to help fix any issues. There were good choices at breakfast, and the all day/night coffee or tea was great. The 12pm check out was nice.
I bought face masks because a message from the hotel informed they were required inside, but when I got there no one was wearing any. The door handle to my room was loose and I had trouble opening it. The soft pillows hurt my neck.
Location was nice because it is near my daughter's apartment. Breakfast was excellent. Staff accommodated us requesting an extra blanket very quickly. Great stay!
Ice not on our floor, but really not a big deal.
