I'd probably book somewhere else next time.
Pros:

I liked that this was close to the freeway on ramp.

Cons:

The layout of the hotel and the parking lot is a little weird. Our view was a retaining wall but we were there just for the night. I booked here since breakfast was included but honestly it wasn't great. The sausage was rubbery & pastries offered were not fresh, they seemed a few days old.

Varied and well stocked breakfast. Central lobby location.

Cons:

Construction on the property wasn't mentioned before booking. Window was blocked by painters film before we checked out.

The stay was not the greatest could be worse but would not recommend at all!
Pros:

The breakfast was cold and once they run out its out. You have to get there early. The location is behind a Walmart and a 712 on the side. It's not the greatest location however marina state beach is literally like a 5 minute walk
So that was nice.

Cons:

The hotel is run down
They are trying to modernize it and I give them credit but it still sucks. I wouldn't recommend staying here for the price I'd rather pay a few hundred more and get something nice!!!!!

WHERE IS THE HELP!!
Pros:

Sunday breakfast was terrible. Ran out of eggs and coffee Sunday morning at 8:30!
Not good one person working the buffet, could not find a clean counter and sticky floors, trash barrels over flowing. One toaster for everyone. When we did have food it was eggs and 2 kinds of sausage. What about biscuts, bacon needed more selection same thing both days. Customers cleaning thier own tables.

I’ve stayed at this hotel on the second floor a few months ago and this time got placed on the first floor. The first floor looks to be less cared for, it’s immediately noticeable once you enter into the hallway. The bedroom was very dirty, black stuff on the toilet paper, short hair on the toilet and in the sink with water splashed on the counter, black mold in the bathroom, stains on the wall in the bedroom, disgusting dirty baseboards that have probably never been cleaned, gunk was stuck to the carpet, I was going to call off my second night stay but the cost of the other hotels were three times the price so I was forced to stay with my kid but I won’t be returning again. I do not recommend especially if you have children. I’d like to also comment that the receptionist was the most unenthusiastic person I’ve had to talk to at a hotel, she literally seemed like she was just getting by. It was pretty uncomfortable and a little awkward.

Everything about our stay here was perfect. I read the other reviews about breakfast and don’t know how anyone could say anything negative - they had cheese & egg omelettes, bacon, sausage, pancakes, apples, oranges, bananas, cinnamon rolls, oatmeal, cold cereal, yogurt, bagels, English muffins, bread for toast, juice and coffee. Honestly, what else can you ask for?

Pros:

Parking, check-in, and check-out was easy. Breakfast ends at 9:30 so we missed it. The lady was kind enough to offer us muffins even though they already closed up the kitchen. Only problem we had that turned us off completely was the smell of our room, the completely dirty sink, and some type of tick that was on our bed. We also found another dead insect on the other bed. We tried calling front desk, but phones were not working so we took our stuff and went straight to front desk. She was able to get us into another room that was cleaner, no foul odor, and no insects.

The AC in our room was not working to be gin with and promised they will come & fix it but no one came and charged us $307 for one night with no discount or even change our room. The equipment in the firness are not working, no towels, no drinking water.

While it’s directly across the park, the hotel is extremely outdated. It is poorly lit, the ac unit is not centralized, and it’s extremely loud. Would not stay here again.
