Quality Inn Amarillo West near Medical Center

The room in which i stayed in was very poor. The walls were peeling apart in the bathroom and the shower curtain rod is coming apart from the wall. There were pubic hair in the tub so i had to clean the tub out myself with cleaner to use it. The mirror above the bathroom sink was very dirty. It looked as if it had not been cleaned in a few days.
I have stayed in some sketchy hotel rooms before but this was the dirtiest one and most run down one i have ever stayed in. Quality Hotels, you can do much better than this.

Carpet had stains and tub was very worn but the bed was very comfortable and the continental breakfast was very good

Pros: Breakfast had waffles & was good.
Staff was very friendly.
No bed bugs.
Beds were comfy.
Water was hot.
Fridge worked.

Cons: Everything but beds and toilet were dirty.
Shower could have used a scrub brush and some bleach.
TV wouldn’t work at all at first, got that working. Barely any working channels & only PBS for kids.
Bed had a burn in the top cover.
Really would consider wearing shoes in shower & on floor.
Was on the 2nd floor, floor felt like it had some weak spots.
Paint peeling in bathroom.

It’s a $60 motel room, meets expectations. It’s dirty but it’s a quiet place to sleep with a comfortable bed and hot water. Wear shoes and don’t have high expectations. Staff was VERY nice and friendly.

Quality Inn you let us down we stayed at quality in the way along Route 66 but this was the worst we've ever stayed in it was stinky no blankets just a sheet and a bedspread the carpet was sticky the breakfast buffet had no toast no toaster no Bagels nothing like we've had in the past but you have to remember get what you paid for and it was the cheapest hotel we've never stayed in that's the only thing that I can say about it was the price

Blood on wall and curtains. Bathroom was disgusting!

avoid this place. I mistakenly booked this place thinking it was a different hotel. The carpet was beyond filthy and ripped. The bathroom floor was awful. There were shoe marks and dirt all over the inside of the door.

It was really nice & peaceful I liked it

I was in a handicapped room . Which was not very accessible. Toilet was very low. Safety bars were more pull up bars. Carpet was difficult to move on . Not very ADA

This is a low end hotel the shower knob to activate shower would only pull halfway so half the water was still coming out the spout and the other half outta the shower head there were sever ceiling latches that weren’t done very well plaster all over floors from them

Disappointed, the rooms were dirty and the doors didn’t lock easily, felt unsafe and breakfast had few options and definitely could have gone somewhere else and won’t try another Quality for awhile

The continental breakfast was poor. Just waffles, coffee, muffins, cereal and packs of oatmeal. No bread, bagels or boiled eggs. Room curtain and bed sheets were torn. Room smelled musky.

The staff was very friendly checking in and out. This was the only resounding positive of my stay here. The room and property itself was rough. The door to my 2nd floor room barely latched and the deadbolt was broken. The room was muggy and smelled damp. The AC was off when I entered which isnt welcoming when it's 100 degrees outside. The mesh window curtain was ripped. There was an exposed electrical junction box on the ceiling- no idea what was there to begin with as a lamp doesnt make sense in that position and the smoke alarm was conveniently placed right above the bed. The tv had just 5 channels. Not even Fox or ABC which is part of basic cable. There was cracking drywall on the ceiling and the bathroom light was missing a shade. The shower pressure was very good actually but I didnt take my mind off the crumbs and dirt I felt with my bare feet on the carpet. Also, a cricket thought to join me in bed at some point which I can only attribute to the outer doors downstairs that could not close due to being broken somehow. Just passed these outer doors, the ice machine was inside and leaking enough to wet the carpetted stairs next to it.
You might be wondering why I didnt mention all this to the staff. My reason is because I would only be there a single night and I did not want to kick up a fuss. They were very nice and helpful in every interaction. I truly feel sorry for the staff here. I cant imagine the complaints the get. This is all on the property management. Shame.

The room smelted unclean, the power was out for three hrs. and the smoke detect was taken down. Other then that it was fine.

It was overall good but it seemed like no cable tv was working at all on the tvs.

Great service

Not as advertised. The building itself is in poor condition. Including the rooms. Shower head was almost at my sholder, im 5'9". A lot of wear n tare to the room. Hallway and stairs were dirty. Ice machines broken.

The rooms are filthy, not dirty, they are absolutely filthy. See attached pictures for the dirty toilet bowl, the dead bugs all over the room, the television didn’t work, the ceilings ready to cave in, the window was covered with some kind of dirt, just an overall completely filthy room. This should be condemned. The health department can’t even help them. It just needs to be condemned and shut down.

They do not vacuum the carpet. This place is unbelievably bad bad. And for some reason, I was placed in a room beneath the only other room that was occupied in the entire building, and the people were extremely loud.

This hotel needs to be taken off all of the major websites. Nobody should advertise for this hotel. I will never go back.
