This hotel used to be one of my preferred choices, which makes this experience even more disappointing.
There is a clear and serious decline in both service and overall standards.
From arrival, there was no assistance with the car or luggage. I waited, only to be told to handle everything myself — something that was never the case before and completely unacceptable for a hotel at this level.
Basic amenities that used to be standard — like slippers and vanity kits — are now chargeable, yet this is not clearly communicated anywhere. Even in a suite, only minimal items were provided, which feels like a downgrade in both service and value.
When I raised this concern, I was told these changes are “recent” and that the social media team is “working on updating it.” That explanation is not acceptable. Updating essential guest information should be immediate, not something guests are left to discover after arrival.
The service attitude was also inconsistent. While a few staff members were polite, others came across as dismissive and unprofessional. At breakfast, I was spoken to in a way that lacked basic respect when simply asking for assistance.
The most concerning part, however, was related to hygiene. After using the pool, both my child and I experienced noticeable skin irritation and itching within minutes, which continued for hours. Additionally, the bedding did not feel comfortable, as there was a persistent itching sensation throughout the night.
To put things into perspective: just a week before this stay, I was at a hotel in Dubai that was extremely busy, yet the service was smooth, everything was available, and the staff were genuinely welcoming. So this is clearly not about “recent changes” — it’s about how they are being handled.
I originally planned to stay 4 nights, but I checked out after the second night and moved to a nearby hotel — where the difference in service, cleanliness, and overall experience was immediately noticeable.
Old hotel and only the room are renovated or looks new. But came for the waterpark, but it was disappointing and small. Breakfast was ok.
No concierge or valet parking, had to park my car myself and taking the luggage to the room and bring it back myself.
Swimming pools are huge. Foods are good for Breakfast
The life guard at the indoor pool is racist. We were not eating but we do have our paper bag with Chips that we are not eating nor planning to open because we wanted to go on the outdoor pool (we were advised we can bring food because they don't have a chef at the bar) Then the indoor pool guard went to our area and literally took a peek in out paper bag. It was invading of privacy to be honest and then he told us that foods are not allowed. We said we are not even eating nor opening anything. Also, right next to us was an arab woman enjoying her chips before he approached us and he did not even said a word to that lady. That was so unfair. He even offered towels to all the Arab guests and those who were arriving in the area but did not even gave us any. Also, We were not able to enjoy the outdoor pool as they kept on telling us it is not yet ready. One full day was wasted and it was very crowded in the indoor pool area.
I’m regular at the Grand Hyatt because I love the service and the food
I was surprised that they had an offer and it was offer crowded while I paid a premium to have the quality I expected
Ae had a junior suite, very nice, the water park was very good. The food is excellent. Breakfast and especially dinner were amazing. Very high standard of food. Highly recommended!
The hotel is a little dated in places.

The receptionist Ms. Jacky is very accomodating, friendly and willing to help. I like the crepe that was given to me at dinner.
Buffet was okay but needs more variant especially the breakfast.
Maintenance inside the indoor pool while opening hours was uncomfortable where too much noisy and smelly.
