Everything went well and was nice! Had an emergency so we could'nt stay overnight, but we will be back.

There were three major issues with my stay at this particular property. Just a quick note prior to this ultra long review. I stayed in room 302 and if you ultimately choose to stay at this property, which I highly recommend you DO NOT, PLEASE check for the following issues upon checking in to save yourself the problems I am currently going through.
The first is bed bugs. The day after staying at this location I began to develop a rash that my doctor told me was bed bug bites. After trying in vain for two days and leaving several messages regarding the issue of bed bugs, I was finally able to get in contact with the manager Chris Aguilar. I was told that he got the message I left regarding bed bugs and the room was checked the day prior and nothing was found. He then mentioned that a guest checked in the same day I left and didn’t check out until the morning I finally spoke with him. I asked him how he was able to check the room the day prior if there was a guest in that room. Then he tried to backtrack and say “I meant we just checked it this morning”. I did mention that I was recording the call, which I was, and there were quite a few inconsistencies in what he was telling me. I was made to feel like a liar about this situation. I was only at two places in the time leading up to the bed bug bites appearing and that was the hotel and my home. I absolutely do not have bed bugs at home. The only other place this could have happened at was at this hotel, Hampton Inn in Harlingen, TX.
The second issue I had was the water was cold for each of the three showers I took whilst staying there despite running the shower for 10-20 minutes prior. The water was never any hotter than lukewarm at best. I tried contacting the front desk several times regarding this issue and not once was my call answered. Which brings me to the next issue I had.
I tried several times while at the hotel and after checking out to contact the front desk and my calls went unanswered. It was as if no one was working the front desk. I have a screenshot of all of the times I tried contacting the hotel and my calls went unanswered.
As I previously stated, when I was finally able to speak to Chris Aguilar he had an excuse for each of my issues and nothing was resolved. I even contacted the corporate office and provided them with pictures of my arms and legs covered in bed bug bites. They said they contacted the hotel and the manager CHRIS AGUILAR told them that they checked the room and found nothing. I don’t understand how they would take the word of a manager who obviously has no scruples and is not above lying to save face. There must be another way to check rather than just taking the managers word as the truth. The only comfort I have in this whole situation is my belief in karma and I know that CHRIS AGUILAR will ultimately get what he so desperately deserves.
Staff pleasant, smiling, and very helpful. Jessica greeted us and now days that doesn't happen all thr time.
